£55! That must be a record! I've toyed with the idea for a while, just never actually bought them as i'd keep them in garage for years and then end up selling them because i dont have the time :( I'll give you £60 for them   Sorry dude, Sold these last year to make way for my recaro's, made a tidy profit though 8)

Fairly easy to do and give have a nice standard look about them. I had the half leather set in mine for a while. Keep an eye on ebay, I picked up a full interior for £55. Pictures of how they look can be found HERE
-
I think they are only illigal if the tread sticks out past the arch. Hense why there are some crazy amounts of stretched tires out there.
-
Might be the wiring loom that passes from the door to the car. Pull back the rubber boot to have a look.

The two pipes could be joined, blocked off or they can be replaced with Mk1 Golf pipes. I fitted mine when I still had the G60, and the pipes came in the kit from G werks. The original cooler has been removed. To then fit the sandwich plate you will beed to cut down the threaded rod that screws from the housing, through the standard cooler and into the filter. This is a picture of mine, you can see where the pipes have been blocked. HTH 13062010174.JPG[/attachment:2uupo033]

Do you want to remove the old water/oil exchange above the filter? I think that by keeping the standard oli/water exchange and fitting a Mocal plate means that a standard filter will foul the front subframe. To remove the standard item, you will need to either block up the water pipes that feed into/out of it, or replace with Mk1 Golf water pipes. You'll then need to chop down the threaded bar that the filter screws into. I'll go out and get some pictures for you as it will probably make it easier to understand!

Looks gorgeous

Around here the general sway is towards G Werks. I have used both and never had any problems with either. Some will say that a Jabba rebuild is sub-standard. I had them stage 4 mine and it was fine.

are you running a g60 pump with a 16v pump? thats a bit greedy lol yeh the G60 is being used as the lifter :D I need the fuel supply!
-
I'd not even thought of the lifter pump. It's still my old G60 pump so I'll check it tomorrow.
-
Do fuel pumps die suddenly or can they gradually gradually, cutting in and out? Today, my car lost power and was coasting along. As I changed down a gear it then cleared itself. Got home and the 16v fuel pump under the car was making a horrifically noisey. Guess the pump on it's was out as I've never heard it make this much noise. Could the heat have effect it? I went out a little later and as I primed the engine the pump made it's regular noise.

Good effort, I like the S2k drivers attemp to loose you by slamming on the anchors, then flooring it again, didnt really work. And scoobys little wheel effort at the end, would love to have seen the look on his face when you went past

How did you put the neddle on at 80! :D It was 160mph on the clocks, and I've been told the rule is 15-20% difference at the top end, so that could put it as low as abou 130, although it certainly felt quicker than that :D It's still the standard G60 box and ratio's. I've only compared my speedo to TomTom up to about 50, and even at that speed there was 1-2mph difference. Have you had your RR'd? How does your spec compare with mine? I might have to try your method of calibration to try and make it more accurate:thumb right:
-
Today I managed a sneeky high speed pass down the runway at work. Just over 9000 feet of nice straight tarmac saw me hit the end of the clocks at 160mph. 8) Now I know this isnt accurate, but it hit 160 and I was still accelerating. Next time I plan on sticking TomTom in to see what that has to say as I'm sure it is probably more accurate than my clocks at that speed.

To change the oil pump you need to take the sump off. Not too sure how difficult it is from there though.
-
the only exhaust note difference was an alarming amount of popping and banging. The cloud is just the unburnt fuel from the cylinders it was misfiring on. I now have NGK Iridium plugs fitted, not sure on the gap to be honest, but they seem to be performing excellently.
-
yeh these are definately my next set of wheels too :D
-
Anything will fit, it just depends how much chopping and cutting you want. It would certainly make an awesome build thread. The 1.8t/R32 route is common because it is relatively straight forward. How about R36? or the 2.0TSi?

The local nosey cow has commented on how loud my car is when I start it up. Said I should be given a special award, something called an ASBO
-
My problem was the coil pack. I used a Polo one because thats what was fitted. I'm not sure about the cossie one, I'm sure you could fit one and get it to work.

If you let me know when your free I'll bring it up as promised 8)

For boost pipes I'd recommend These -
Sad times. Good to hear you plan on returning to the Corrado stable at some point.

Everything over the last week of so has been fine, in fact it's been running superb... So yesterday I had to go to the otherside of the airfield where I work, and couldnt help but unleash hell down the taxi way :D I have a small problem in the fact that I dont think my speedo can keep up. As I changed between 4th and 5th, the needle kept moving round 8) This is the first time I've had the opertunity to open it up like this, I now know I need some bigger stoppers though! I have some Audi S2 calipers to fit but might get hold of some 4pots.

Mine did the same and it turned out to be the mechanism was full of crud and had blocked the micro switches. Stripping it down and a good clean sorted it out.
