Is the speedo sensor on top of the gearbox?

This morning my speedo when a little wierd. Started off my gradually dropping and rising again. Noticed that the spoiler was also lowering with the speedo and then raising when it come back to life. By the time I'd got to work the speedo had completely died. The spoiler still works off the manual switch. Also noticed that when the speedo died, my mileage stopped counting up :gag: Is the likely to be the speedo sensor on the gearbox?

Not a bad race, gutted for Lewis but at least he has matured enough now to hold his hands up to it being is error. At least with Webber finishing so far back, it hasnt damaged his title hopes too much

Looked more like lift off oversteer to me :shrug: Not good though, isnt it like £1000/metre if you damage the barrier round the 'ring?

Yeh little gutted for Lewis but it will be interesting to compare the 2 Mclaren's to see how much difference the f Duct really makes over race distance. I'm hoping Alonso gets piledrived in the first corner, probably by vettel :D

New coilies on and she's as quick as ever. Managed to have everything changed in a little over an hour. It must have been the first job I've done where nothing else has gine wrong! I suspect the rear shock has been dodgy for a while as she handled like a dream, I was able to hold a nice line and more speed through corners.

I guess only you know what you really want, and at the end of the day, if a VRT doesnt flick your switches anymore (especially after such short ownership) then perhaps it is time to move on. Maybe the best option would be to arrange a test drive of an Elise. They are a very basic car and whilst they are very nimble, and can get uncomfy on any kind of long drive.
