  1. Yer, the blue temp sensor has been replaced, so if the lambda doesn't cue it I'll try a source a haltec one. it's missing throughout the whole range. Plugs should be fine as James replaced them when he fitted the engine and I've only managed just over 2k since then :D
  2. Think somethings broke :( Started to run like a sack of spanners. Randomly starts to miss fire, popping and gurgling, loses power and revs very slow and using tons of fuel. Ordered a new lambda after a quick chat with James at Sub11, see if this works. If not, I'm not sure, perhaps the blue temp sensor  I just want it to work as I'm off on a RR day in a couple of weeks
  3. I thought the new test invalidated the old one to be honest. If your car fails an MOT surely it's in an unroadworthy condition
  4. Liking the body work, be good to see this in the flesh. Good effort and glad to hear you'll have it back by UD. How much have you missed it the last few months then? Not sure on the two tone door cards, I'll wait to see it all fitted before I pass judgement
  5. Quality Good to see a project stuck by through thick and thin :salute:
  6. Another vote for Aqua blue pearl, for some reason
  7. The only thing to remember is that the R32's boot wont be quite as deep due to the 4WD gear, but other than that I've had a look round one and it was pretty big.
  8. The clicking noise from the engine could be the tappets, it's common on the PD engine. I have the 150TDi and one of my tappets exploded at about the same mileage. Initially I thought head gasket but the VW place I took mine to has never heard of the gaskets failing on these engines. Not sure about the coolant loss. Is there any evidence of it in the oil?
  9. It would be quite interesting to find out how much difference the undertray would make. Considering some new wheels at the moment, whilst I love how the Borbet look, I fancy something a little different.
  10. I'll confess, you wasn't alone
  11. I should have just brought your whole car :D I may well take that too. i'm just waiting for a work expenses claim to be paid and I'll be in contact
  12. Hopefully  Been thinking of modding the front bumper to allow more air onto the intercooler. There seems a few different options, Rileys mesh option, JMC mounting a grill down there or cutting out the recess completley. I fancied keeping the front end standard looking, so I'm now looking at removing the number plate recess, but putting the number plate back in the gap, only mounted flush with the rest of the bumper. This should give about 1/4" gap around the edge for air to flow around, even move the plate forward sightly to allow more air past. As yet this is just an idea in my head, no idea of how it will look yet
  13. It did confuse me a little  I should really update that as it's quite an old pic
  14. It is for now  All will be revealed soon though :D
  15. I think shoe's would be a little too far, Perhaps a little too much "scene" Bonnet bra sounds good though, I remember g60greeny had a bra trimmed to match his interior and it looked ace.
  16. I'm not sure, I got the engine from Junkie on here. It is the Jabbasport IHI turbo with their big valve head. I've had another sytle of idea for modding the front bumper so you might have another option in a couple of months
  17. Very nice, and that Mk2 is pretty tidy too  Have you decided to mod the front bumper yet?
  18.  please put up a pic of where it is now instead of whatever tom is sending you :) Part of me wants to see Toad's picture...........is that wrong??!!!! :gag: Yes :D
  19. No where else really, unless you get a smaller cooler and it goes behind the grill.
  20. Passed!! Just got back from the re test, sailed through. Going to treat her to a wash as she's a little mucky and a full take of V Power :D
  21. You could try and get it low, into the airflow through the bottom grills. If not then behind the bumper and remove the number plate recess like some have done on here. I'd get it remapped, no point doing all this work and not getting the most from it.
  22. Merc sprinter are very very popular. The rallye one is the best option if you have deep pockets. I fitted a landrover TD5 intercooler, it's thin enough to fit between the slam panel and radiator, although the pipework was a right pain.
  23. Yer, like it's put in with a kitkat wrapper. Bit pi$$ed that the tester ripped it off, and then failed it on excessive handbrake travel!
