yeah thats right, used to go to school with him. went out a couple of times in your car before he sold it. really liked it, nice car. he has a VR6 now but have nt seen it yet, gonna meet up sometime when where both in north wales
-
i saw that too, but in a magazine it was a computer type magazine, and it was a recent one. might be worth cheacking the shops if your interested, altho i cant remember the name of it :( that had a system which was quite complex and expensive, but looked good

i've got a piper 285 in mine seems good but i have only ever driven with it in so cant compare it sorry. although it is very lumpy on idle. something to consider if it bothers you. its called a 285 but i think the duration is actually about a 266. one thing with force induction engines you dont want a cam to wild which has got overlap, otherwise the air that is being forced in will go straight out the exhaust valves.

i've don it with out taking the dash out, pain in the arse tho. i took all the panels off the dash i could then removed a metal surport behind the dash then took the bolts off on the bulk head, which hold the matrix housing. then removed all the plastic heater blower and housing then took the matrix out and swaped it. took a good couple of hours.

that is very very nice looking car, the best red corrado i ve seen, not keen on the vents, and i would probably lose the side strips but the rest is a work of art
-
yep :-P , not as low tho and now its got one 13" steel and battered down the side, due to a hong kong dude in a rental car, and he has not admitted liabillity and i can not prove it was nt my fault, so the claim is still ongoing

polos rock, mines been used and abused and quite happily goes on day in day out, i got given it with a seized engine (head gasket had gone and it had been sat with water in the bores) pured boiling oil down the bores slowly got it to turn over by hand then cleaned the bores up. its done 14k since and never missed a beat, i guess the compression will not be great, but it just keeps going. i would check signs of headgasket failure, and check the crank breather on the back of the block isnt blocked as these can cause a few headaches
-
yer, i am pretty sure it would, altho you will maybe have to shorten the front exhaust section where it joins on to the cat, be worth sticking a cat pipe on to. if it does nt tho dont blame me :D
-
i would be interested in how it affects the handling
-
my mk1 box was a little noisey put some additives in and it died within a couple of weeks, altho this could have happpened anyway

the 2.0 head would fit on the 1.8 block but you might be better selling the 2.0 engine complete, but then again most poeple buy them to upgrade there 1.8 so would have a head already :? i would break the one with the rear damage though and the black one sounds like it ll fix up easily, as henny said you can pick up 1.8 16v really easily and cheap. -
i guy called Elle from edition 38 did all four for me, and fitted my tyres for around £130 :D and i polished the centre caps up. i can forward his number onto you if you want
-
thanks guys thats a great help :D :D
-
does anybody know if the rear wiper is the same part number through the corrado years and models? thanks for any help
-
as phat says mine are diamond cut, but think i will end up polishing them or get them polished, soon because they have been diamond cut it makes them a pain in the arse to clean as you have to do it in a circler motion with the grain, they are also starting to show small bits of corrosion even tho i am forever washing and polishing them. at least if there polished and you lightly kerb or get small bits of corrosion you can rub it back and polish it up again have a look in the members gallery theres a couple of shots of my wheels on the car
-
"Why should i buy a G60" Because they are much easier and cheaper to tune than any other model of corrado. and they are cheaper than a vr usually altho you have got a bit of a risk with the charger, but i think there a little unusual and different to most cars out there.

have a look on you water pump, if its the same as a 1.8 16v you have 2 pulleys on the water pump one drives the pump the other is an idle pulley check this for sideways play, it should nt have any really. had this go on both my valvers, it used to be at a certain revs then it gradually got worse
-
i ve done exactly the same. i was hoping to get the alarm in on mine, but would nt fit. but i love the flip keys think there great :D

when i did it on my old 16v i did nt notice that much difference, the only real difference a noticed was with the handling. when comparing the wheels next to each other there was nt a lot of difference between the 205/50/15 and 205/40/17, that i had
