  1. I have a Brembo set-up on my Corrado. It's a 4 stud as it use to be a G60, but now VR6. The set-up I have is straight of a Seat ibiza Cupra R. That's 312mm discs (I think need to check), calipers and caliper brackets. I got mine second hand for £450. Not bad price for a such a good upgrade.
  2. Neuspeed short shifter is the way to go. I've had one fitted for about 4/5years and it's always worked perfectly.
  3. i hear ya, just got to save up the cash and then go for it.
  4. Good to see ya last night, your C on those green 928 rims looked crazy. BJV did an amazing job on them. I'm in two minds about 16'sor 17's, I'll get saving and see how I feel when the cash is ready.
  5. C @ Eastern Dubs last night 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfcorrado_eastern_dubs.jpg[/attachment:3t3gdooi] corrado_eastern_dubs_2.jpg[/attachment:3t3gdooi]
  6. Jon I'll be heading to eastern dubs tonight, so you can try talk me out of it. Zak, maybe seer you there. it's going to be packed tonight with this weather!
  7. ZAK thank you so much for all the info and the searching around. The jap BSS looks like a nice cheap route to take. but those BSS's on german ebay look perfect. The only thing is, how good is the redrill (all down to who did it?) and is a ET 13 workable?
  8. Not too bother about hassle, as i've been needing new rims for a while and I'm not about to take the easy route. It's just a case of gettiing together the knowledge on what I need to do and starting at the top. 1) What spec 17 BBS RS 301's am I looking for? 2) What needs to be changed so they fit? 3) Find some! 4) Fit them
  9. Getting bit fed up of the ride compromise of running 17's around where I live. So thinking of going for ultra lightweight 16 inch wheels. Good luck with search, no doubt about it 301's look the danglies 8) know what you mean about running 17's. I hardly use the car now so don't care. Am I right in says BSS 301 are pretty light as they're a 3 piece?
  10. Thanks I'll dig around for some photos now. This is the look I'm after bbs301.jpg[/attachment:25wf160f]
  11. Not a good idea to look at 301's then   I was considering selling my Futura's, that would help  thanks for the offer, but i want bbs rs's. what wheels are you looking for next?
  12. Not a good idea to look at 301's then  yer, their not cheap. that's why i need to keep everything else to the lowest cost possible. what ET do these wheels come in?
  13. Has he not already got a VR? The engine is a VR but the car was originally a G60, so 4 stud.
  14. Good spot, not really as I have stud brembo's up front and don't really want to change them. Possible look into it though, it's a case of trying to keep the costs down
  15. I don't thin these will have the look I'm after though, maybe 7.5 up front though.
  16. I've finally decided to save up and get those show wheels as the car is no longer a daily runner. I want a set of BBS RS 301 17 but what's the best width for the front and rear without having to modify the arches. The car is a Corrado G60, the arches have been rolled and I'm runnign Koni coilovers. I was thinking something like 8x17 front & 8.5X17 rear (with a little tyre stretch to help them fit). What ET shoudl I be looking for? Plus does anyone have photos of the above sizes on their C?
  17. It’s been a while since our last update; we’ve been very busy building a NEW site for TorqueVW. The site is live and will continue to be updated with new functionality (voting and commenting on articles etc) and new sections added (Gallery etc) over the coming weeks/months. It’s been a huge amount of work so we hope you like it. Please give us feedback on anything you don’t like or would like to see on the site. See below screen shot for how she looks now. The latest issue has show reports from Stanford Hall & Dubs At The Park, this month’s feature car is Peter Thomson’s Polo Derby, Nick Horne reports back from The Golf GTI Championship at Brands Hatch, new products releases and plenty of news from VW. I hope all this work has been worth it? Check out www.torquevw.com.
  18. Thanks it's been a load of work but it's now on such a power platform we can do pretty much anything we need to. Any ideas please would be much appreciated.
  19. TorqueVW has a new site which is pretty dam sexy, we'll be publishing the latest issue over the next few days but I thought you guys might like to see what she looks like now. www.torquevw.com
  20. I have loads of rattles but when the engine is running you can't hear a thing. Check it out at Stealth a year or so ago, it's even loader now.
  21. Hi, The latest issue of TVW has been published. It’s well overdue but hopefully worth the wait! While covering Ultimate Dubs, we managed to grab a feature with Paul Scott and his Mk1 Golf (Best in show & Best Engine at UD). So if you’re into MK1’s, you can’t get better. From across the pond we have a limited edition 20th Anniversary MK4 Golf with a few Dodge Viper influence. Check out our show report of the first big outdoor show, GTI Spring festival. Is ‘cruise’ a term that can be associated with the Dub scene, The Oxford Cruise sets us straight. VW launch The GTI Project, an epic scale Scalextric track to give all armchair enthusiasts the chance to race the new hot hatch online. Hopefully you won’t have to wait so long for the next issue.
  22. I purchased a set of Eibach Sway bars front and rear. The front ones don't fit in the bushes. Eibach said I needed to cut the brushes so the sway bar fits. I'm really not happy with this. Has any ones had the same issue, if so what is the solution?
  23. No problem, nice to meet up with you guys. Unfortunately can't make Spring Festival this years as it's a weekend earlier than usual and it's my wedding anniversary. Don't thinkn the Mrs will be too happy if I go. :(
