HIDS are xenons and they will pass the MOT, as the MOT only checks for pattern. Obviously if they are too bright then they may not pass. Anything around 6000K will be fine.

Right, I've found a couple of companies which supply HIDS including one on ebay. I'm going to research which is the best trying to gauge quality and price. I'll post soemthing up shortly.

I'm going to look into this and if I go ahead with it I'll create a how to guide on TorqueVW.

Do you know who you brought the kit from on eBay? I don't want any crap as I'm replacing crap which has broken. Chris

My upgarded headlight loom has died and don't want to spend more money on crap wiring. Are HID kits easy to fit and which ones are the best on the market at the moment? Anyone fitted a HID kit to their Corrado with in-pro angel eyes? Thanks

Dam, So it's just a case of running the car more. The problem I have is, it's now not my daily drive and only gets used at the weekend (if I get a chance). cheesewire I'll check the volyage, I know know the it's had a leak voltage of the battery in the past. Just cehck the central locking and it seem like I have a leak. The door s are all locking but the pump does seem to pulse after the doors a lock. 2 hours of searching and I haven't found it yet.

I have a laserline alarm and never had any problems with it, but you never know so many I'll try disconnecting it.

Takes about 3 weeks and it's doing my head in.

God dam it, bloody battery is dead again. I'm not great with electrics so it's total guess work. I know the battery is fine as it's very new and the problem was there before I changed it.The central locking haas been playing up so I'm starting with the that, as I've been hearing the pump flickering on and off when I lock the car. I'll check for leaks and then replace the pump to eliminate that. Next up is check for bad grounds. Does any know how to check for bad grounds? After that what should I check for? Does anyone know anything about electrics? Cheers

Hi, I own a site called TorqueVW which launched 2 years ago. It was built by a two man team, me and a friend. Since the launch we've put together a good number of articles covering VW events, Feature Cars and How to guides. Unfortunately over the last year we've ran out of time due to other commitments. Mainly getting married (not too each other!) and me having kids. We're now starting to get a little more free time back, so a decision needs to be made on whether to get it all rolling again or not. I've had a heavily tuned G60,a standard VR6 and a 300bhp+ Supercharged VR6. The car isn't a daily driver any more and I'm glad of that as the noise from the charger is not great! But the power and the way it is delivered is fantastic. It's fun to drive! 300 BHP is plenty in a front wheel drive car so if you like the VR and want more power supercharge it with rotex or Vortech and you'll love it.

Having not own both cars I can't say for sure but I thought they were slightly different supports for the VR6 bonnet. Could be totally wrong! Anyone got a photo of both?

I thought the under side was different though? Anyone got photos of the undernether of a early & late Bonnet?
