I'm looking to re-new my under bonnet foam and would like to know if the VR6 foam will fit on a early G60 bonnet. Also been reading up on here about Noisekiller and Dynamat (is that how you spell it) products, which is best? Chris

C. Will Corrado G60 2 replied to C. Will Corrado G60 2's topic in Exterior
Thanks for the info I'll try it out and see what works best. I'll report back once I've done it. -
my rear tail lights? Can I use fine wet&dry to remove the over spray and then spray with lacquer to bring the shine back? Cheers

Stress bars and sway bars
C. Will Corrado G60 2 replied to C. Will Corrado G60 2's topic in Drivetrain
Thanks, I've been reading about this and you are very right. As my car is not my daily driver it's getting a set-up which is all about handling and performance. At last it's become my bit of fun at the weekend and I won't have my wife complaining about the ride! -
Stress bars and sway bars
C. Will Corrado G60 2 replied to C. Will Corrado G60 2's topic in Drivetrain
Thanks for clearing that up, too many names for one thing. Yes, I'm looking for lower strut bars that go between the wishbones. -
Ok, I've been thinking of adding some lower stress bars/sway bars and have found two types of upgrades stress bars and sway bars (are these the same) and it not clear to me what's better. I have 1991 G60, VR6 conversion with Koni Coilovers, Eibach upper front strut and GB upper rear strut and have read that if you add too much stifness to the front of the car you get understeer. Is this right? Does anyone know anything about these upgrades or have a set-up similar to mine with either option. Cheers

Carbon wrap - REALLY not sure...

£400 for a bonnet is way too expensive. You should be looking at £150-£200 max -
My 16v Corrado.. Featured in this months (Jan 2010) PVW!

Bally, so that's what you been up to. :) The wheel choice is a nice change to the standard BBS/RH Cups etc. I'm amazed you can fit 16x9's all round, but it works and has a get new stance. Looks a lot more refined now. Nice work! -

Cracked Fuel Tank !!!!!!!
C. Will Corrado G60 2 replied to C. Will Corrado G60 2's topic in Engine Bay
My are is a 1991 Pre-face lift model if that's any help. From the above it seems I need a 1991 (pre-face lift) g60 fuel tank to be safe. Great that's just reduced my chances of finding one then. :( -
Ok, so I've had a petrol smell for a while and thought it was the seal on the fuel pump but found out it's a cracked fuel tank  . My car is a 1991 G60 (with a VR6 conversion). Can I fit a VR6 fuel tank or are the fuel tanks different for each model e.g. 16v, g60 & VR6? Any help much appreciated.

Black Corrado R32 4Motion DSG, Phase 1 done!
C. Will Corrado G60 2 replied to Dirty Sanchez's topic in Members Gallery
Lovin this car, black and cream interior looks so sweet. You need to enter this into some competitions. How could I've been searching for an Eibach Strut brace and you have 3? Do you have one going spare? if I'll take one. -
Early midlife crisis... Porsche or Audi?
C. Will Corrado G60 2 replied to jazzdevil's topic in General Car Chat
I'd go for the 944 myself if I had to choose out of the two. I've been thinking about my next car purchase and it's got to be a porsche too, but I'm thinking of a 928 GTS 5.2 8V awesome! -
retro fitting third brake light

NICE JOB! looks factory, wish I had time to do something like this. Still have to fix my sunroof which broke 2 years ago! :( . Nice to know what can be done though. If you ever fancy making some money, I'd say these would sell very well. -

'cheesewire' has I believe, in the top of the tailgate trim, better there than the VAG one which isn't the neatest and requires cutting of the tailgate panel and you don't really want another opportunity for rust to start there. If you select your LED light carefully and cut the upper trim with care it should look pretty good seen a few done neatly. Would be great to see photos of the install and the light on. I'll do a search. -
Has anyone done this? If so, how easy is it to do?

Either the front engine mount has gone or you have the wrong bonnet on your car.

stage 3 VF-engineering, what next?

Dam, I sold my G60 box with my old engine!!!! :( I put a new clutch (standard) in last January when I installed the new engine amd also have a Quaife LSD. Sounds like a good mod so will look out for a 3.68 final drive and add it to the list (which just keeps growing). Thanks for the info. -

Thanks mate. I'll take you out for a spin in mine at the rolling road day and you can get a feel for turbos. B5VWC is right, you need the 3.68 final drive.... and you Shaun ;-) Kev Definitely up for a spin at the RR day, I know what will happen though (wallet empting). How do I go about changing the final drive to 3.68. Where do I get it from? Shaun Very nice figures, if I can get near yours I'll be very happy. Are you going to the RR day? -

Thought about turbo but I don't really want to head down that road (yet). 340BHP is fine for me I just want it to be reliable and safe. Thanks for the info. Hopefully have the cams etc on for the RR day. Your car sounds nuts, through what I've read that is. Good luck with getting it up and running smoothly. -

The figures I made earlier this year were BHP 296.5 @ 6241 Torque 253.2 @ 6068 I'm running a FMIC not a chargeCooler which is one of my problems. 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfpower.jpg[/attachment:266dd2l3] torque.jpg[/attachment:266dd2l3] The torque seems low and the car drives like a normal VR6 under 3,500 rpm, which is crap to be honset! I'm looking to increase torque lower down the revs, hopefully the 263 cam will help and increase the overall BHP to 320+BHP.
