Sorry if posted. BBC news yesterday (23/1) about 8.15am, reporter was outside MI5 building in London when a red VR drove past. Wondered if it was anyone on here?

Yeah just before the last 'non real' roundabout before the Hoyland / Birdwell one. Dark, wide and in the middle of no where. Been researching the legal requirements of reporting hitting an animal. Seems like accidents involving pigs, cattle, sheep, horses, asses, goats, mules and dogs should be reported as owning such 'livestock' and not keeping it under proper control is an offence. I would definitely report it, bad enough you hit a dog, but why was he there with a sledgehammer?,what had he been using that for? I know exactly where you mean, hard to think of a legitimate reason for being there, don't think it is a shortcut between Birdwell and Hoyland. Rich

Same as everyone has said, try not to blame yourself, I am guessing this was somewhere on the Dearne Valley Parkway, why anyone would be running across there in the dark-carrying a sledge hammer........it is safe to presume he was up to no good, does not help the dog though. I would pop into your local police station and mention it though.

.. An eye watering £850. Plus the labour on top (about £700) not a bargain!, not sure how you could source it cheaper, might be worth looking on the internet for an overseas supplier, sure I have seen tanneries (sp) in Morocco/North Africa. Might be a long shot but could be worth looking to see if there are any websites, perhaps you could send them a swatch and they could match it. Prehaps i am talking crap cos I have absolutely no idea about leather dyeing! Sure someone on here dyed their leather interior, seem to remember it looking good (think it was red), could you get a dye match and dye some standard cream leather?? Hope you get it sorted Rich.

If you are looking for someone to retrim the dash you could try MJ interiors in west yorks (Batley or Shipley I think). Never used them but spoke to owner a few years ago at Elsecar show (think he was called Junior), he had a Mk 2 G60 and it was one of the nicest cars I have seen, the standard or the re-trim looked spot on. Like I said never used him but he seemed a decent knowledgable chap. Rich.

Really glad this one is getting attention, when it was for sale was tempted to have a look, had no idea it was so much of a "project" Keep us updated Will be 8) when complete. Rich

Acclaim Motorsports in Sheffield did mine, If you ring them ask for Lewis and tell him it is for a Corrado and you got details from me. Might take a while as they are busy and do a lot of high end stuff. If you do a google search it should give you their number, if not pm me and I will sort details for you. Rich.

Loved this car before you started your DIY, can't wait to see the finished article! Looks good Rich

My valver has CC fitted. Think it was an aftermarket job fitted in Germany by the previous owner (car spent most of its life in Germany). There is a small ecu fitted behind panel in centre console and some kind of sensor fitted behind the front grille. Looks to have proper VAG stalk on column for controlling it. Tried it when I first bought car and have never used it since, seems a bit pointless to me in a car that is nice to drive (Also don't really trust it as my C has had more than it's share of electrical gremlins caused by alarm /stereo fitters hacking into the looms). Superb!! Those wheels are 8) -
Anyone know the part number for the U nuts or speednuts that are used to secure the 2 plastic tabs on each headlight to the front panel?? I have tried 2 main dealers and have been told they are not listed?, have bought similar looking fasteners from Halfords/online but the metal is too thick and is not allowing the lights to sit right. If anyone knows part number, or where I can get an equivalent (or have some spare I could buy) I would appreciate it. Thanks Rich.

Good work fella!, doing similar clean-up get rid of all the rusty shitty bits in the engine bay type thing myself, managed to spend another £120 today on new hoses, clips, etc....etc. Will do all this and then buy a VR!!!!. You will have a really nice car there when completed. 8) Rich
