  1. The 16v really does look in great condition but after seeing more photos of your VR I think your keeping the wrong one. The grey really works well on the C.

    Okay, was speaking to a guy at work whos friend is selling his car, its one Ive always wanted to own so my Corrado might be up for sale. If anyone is interested please get in touch as Im not placing any for sale adds before the other car is confirmed for sale.
  3. What is required to be replaced when doing a respray on a Corrado i.e. what trim pieces are usually broken when disassembling? Im assuming a glass out respray.
  4. See I love rally cars and to me this is the ultimate. Id have this over the Audi. This one with it being chassis 001 it would be an investment. My problem is Id be wanting to drive the thing all the time.

  6. If I was the F40 owner and had witnessed Hammond trying to do those gear changes I would not have let him near the car again. Just adds to my hatred of the little sh8it.
  7. Need to get this done on mine. You can tell we are all getting older on this forum. We are demodding cars till they are near to OE spec. Just goes to show that despite what we sometimes think is better is not always the case.

  9. Paddle clutch. Yeah Mk5 is the daily but I like to be able to choose.
  10. I was kind of looking at this as a bit of a spares car if you know what I mean. One I could swap bits between and use more as a daily as the turbo is just a PITA on the commute. They just seem to be mega cheap at the moment so it would rude not to. The recession hasnt hit Aberdeen yet!!! I know if I get one as soon as it breaks I'll be cursing and shouting why did I but another bloody one. Its inevitable but keeps me away from the pub.
  11. We all do at some point. I loved my Silver 16v hence why started looking for a VR but I fear its going to be a fruitless search. Ive been looking for a couple of months TBH and not seen one that would suit.

  14. What I have is a blanket head shield that hangs from the scuttle rubber. I bought some corragated head sheild and shaped it round the top side of the turbo. The bolts holding the manifold heat sheild hold it in place. I then put some firehose sleeves over the coolant hoses. All seems to be working fine so far. What I would do if I were you is get a hardline oil return hose at least right after the turbo.

  17. Back onto this. We have bought tickets but were looking at driving and camping now. Anybody done the camping bit before? Only two of us going but its a 4 person pitch so we might have two spaces if anyone is thinking about it.
  18. Where are you? TBH any decent garage should be able to work on them. They are not complicated beasts.

  22. Yellow stuff are apparently the better ones to use. I had red stuff in mine and they were crap on the track. Replaced them with Mintex1144's and they were miles better. If I had a track car its the one area I would no skimp on. If I lived down south and closer to some of the good tracks Id probably get rid of the turbo and get a track car I think.
