I was thinking of doing this to mine but in a few years I'll probably be of out the country with work so I may as well enjoy it. -

Is it maybe a question that we are getting too picky now or expecting too much? -
Your about right with the price although I did make a cheeky offer so didnt pay near that for mine. Mine has the full black leather Recaros buts for extra's thats about it, it had to be Nogaro Blue. TBH I dont really think it needs anything more, other things would just be gimmics. Dont go for the half leather half alcantara seats as there not supposed to wear that well. Only other things to watch are auxillary rads. They use a bit if oil as well and its about 8-9litres for an oil change. Apart from that its brilliant. It just wafts along, its a different kind of speed to the Corrado. This vid shows there no slouch and are ok at handling.

Here you go.

Check coilpack and leads for arcing then plug condition. It shouldnt just suddenly go if its an internal thing.

I love my S4 but its the B6 V8 version, whats your price range? Its a heavy old beast and eats fuel but its a great drive and handles suprisingly well. It does have that "special" feel about it as well, parts arent uber expensive TBH. I just bought full new set of discs with rear pads for about £200, thats for 345mm and 300mm discs. As for the fuel economy the way I looked at it was a I was running a Mk5 Gti that was averaging 29mpg. The Audi is doing 23mpg so not a huge amount less for 140bhp more and double the amount of cylinders. Best bet would be to try and get a B5 thats had the turbo's done if you cant get a B6.

Welcome, I was so close to buying this as well.

Do a search as I think I asked a similar question. Ive had a 1.8T enginied Passat and it was quite dull TBH even with a remap and fuel economy was the best so I agree its worth looking at something with a bit more poke. The S4's are quite nice but the only thing I was really told was the manifolds can crack and the turbo's are prone for going. Not the best when there is two of them. Saying that they do like a remap.

I ran my old car with them on with no issues, same set up.

Billiant, looks factory. Not sure what suspension you have but if its normal springs and dampers I have some of the JOM lowering caps for the front that will bring it down 10-15mm, there sitting gathering dust.

Some more. Car ran perfectly all day, absolutely spot on.

Well I decided to take a little drive today as the weather was too good to be sitting watching some wedding in Londontown. Ended up doing 500miles. I used to do this at least once a year on the bike but havent for a couple of years. Went from the east coast of Scotland over to the west coast up via Inverness, Ulapool then over to Applecross and back in through Spean Bridge and Aviemore. Roads were nice and quiet, weather was stunning and the scenery never fails to impress me. Its so hard to bring that across in the photos and I could have stopped every 5min. If youve never been up that way you must, it really makes me think that we have some of the best roads in the world.

Wow, they look amazing!!!!! Been thinking about a set of them as well for a long time.

With a diff and the Racelogic you wont need to worry about that. Stick with 205's. Even in the wet if I turn the boost down a little I still get decent traction if Im gentle with the throttle and you only need to be gentle to still go quick.

Man, your a perfectionist. It looks brand new.

Refurbing BBS RS771s - should I split the centre from the rim
coullstar replied to dalhalvaig's topic in Drivetrain
If this is the 16in ones from the Mk4 or Mk3 anni they can be a pain in the hoop to get bolts out. If you can Id aviod it. You'll probably end up drilling a few out. Ive refurbed these wheels a few times and if you take your time they can be done without splitting them. -
Wow, Ive owned this for over a year now. Must be a record for me and its still got the same wheels on it.

Over the years Ive had quite a few, the best fitting one was the Techtonics but that did have scope for quite a bit of adjustment. The Jetex ones Ive used have also been very good. Magnex on my old green one was also very good. Problem is with the stainless they grow when hot so they can start hitting when hot.

Welcome folks. Always wondered how hard it is to get one in North America?

Nice one. Hate to use it but "once bitten forever smitten" is so true.

Looking good. Is that a brand new front spoiler?
