Yeah Im thinking of changing to a normal one and using the car more. Its the one thing that really annoys me with the car. Will give it a go myself I think once the MOT's done.

Removed the add, realised one Corrado was enough and just been given a new job within the company so Im throwing caution to the wind and thinking about replacing the Golf with an S4 V8. I need to keep me in a job somehow so burning as much petrol as possible sounds good. It works out at £16 a week extra for petrol but Im going to bike to work so that should offset it.

Thanks, non paddle type I see. How long are you getting out of these?

Whats the bore of the exhaust in inches?

Could be interested. Having picked one up they are a lardy piece. Would also stop the dreaded rust as well. Would be good to find a supplier for plexi rear window as well but at the same time it would be good to retain the heated window.

Any photos of this?

Yandards' Blackberry VR6 - Making my garden shed look good

Doesnt seem to bad. Tell the pilots to give Mr G my regards when they are dropping thier stuff. -
Out of interest what was the condition of the stuff you took off?
-
Thinking about it its only worth it if your original paint is faded and you want a colour change. Wrapping does have the advantage of easily going back to original colour. The paint is very good on it at the moment so it would only ruin it if it were painted another colour if it wasnt done properly. The wrap should protect the current paint as well.

I cant really see past the standard stuff. I do like the Recaro's from the relative rarity but I found them less comfortable than my standard seats.
-
Not had any quotes but it seems to be £1500+ and its only lasts 3-5 years I think.

Didnt happen. Car wasnt quite as I thought. Considering getting the car wrapped in silver but costs seem high for it.

What clutchs are folk using?

Id only use the 215/40/17's if you have 8in or wider on the wheels. The RR is also increasing a fair bit over the standard 205/50/15's so there will be a decrease in accle. Even 205/40/17's are bigger.

Seen a few sets kicking about. Only set recently were on the white Corrado that was the Ed38 raffle prize. Maybe get in touch with him to see if he would sell them as he had another set of wheels for the car.

Most are on air now, its all about the show!!!

You need to order them direct from Compomotive and you may have to wait for a batch of blanks to be made. They then machine the casts to the correct PCD, offset and centrebore so they fit direct to the car. There are often ones on ebay with the Lancia 5x98 PCD but you need to use wobble bolts to fit. Be warned though they are now quite expensive. I think for 4 you are looking at the best part of £1k for the wheels alone. The reason I went with the 7.5in fronts is that they didnt have any 8in blanks left and didnt know when they would make them again. They are my favourite wheels and for me to have owned them for about a year and a half shows this as before I would change about every month.

Compomotive TH2. Originally all 8x17in but front two are now 7.5in wide.

Nice one. Im looking forward to picking up mine in Sat and getting stuck in as well. -
I want a bit of a restoration type project to work on now maybe with something like a high comp NA engine. Just something a little different. If I could find somewhere to store this Id probably do that, if the other car I pick up is ok I might think about it but then it would be a crime to have this locked away. What I need is a double garage, not the easiest thing to find round my area.

Breaking 1995 Corrado VR6 - 117k, Full Black Leather
coullstar replied to Purple Tom's topic in Cars for Breaking
Engine still available? Would you consider splitting the head from the block before pick up to make it more manageable or is it ok to handle as one? -
Its just me guys, I get itchy feet all the time. I went out in it on Tuesday night after driving the Audi. The Corrado is way faster. In all honesty I dont really want to sell and unless someone offers me the exact money its going nowhere.

For sale add put up in classifieds. In no hurry to sell.

Thats one of my worries about the car i.e. that its probably as bad if not worse to get certian bits for. Wont be doing anything in a hurry in any case as I forgot that mine is due its MOT next week so that might be fun to get through. Probably just put it in first and see how it goes. Only thing I can see is lack of side repeaters and possible exhaust noise as an issue. Maybe emissions as well but Ive heard it should be at a higher limit as VW never produced a VR6 turbo.
