I'm paying £550 fully comp with protected NCB and windscreen cover on a standard VR6, thats with Elephant and I'm 29 years old. I think on a Corrado you need fully comp with protected NCB because of the repair costs if you stack it. Cheers Ady

spark plugs are set deep into the engine??
Ady_G replied to jedi-knight83's topic in Suppliers Forum
There is an HT lead extractor tool on the jack handle in the boot, should be a tube of black plastic about 250mm long with a notch cut out of it to allow you to clip it over the HT leads metal case and pull it off the spark plug. The tool is part of the original tool kit, if it isn't on the jack hand it might be on the bonnet prop. It took me 3 months to find out that the tool kit actually already had one of these. I always thought that if you put on a whole system including a performance manifold you could get approximately 10% more power. The magnex is only CAT back, so you would need a sports CAT and an uprated manifold, which are quite pricey. Cheers Ady

I'm still interested, £305 is still a good price. I will wait to after xmas though if people would prefer doing that. Cheers Ady

I was using Castrol GTX Magnatec 10W40, but after the last service I switched to Synta Silver 10W40. I think the VR6 engine prefers the Synta because it doesn't seem to use as much and when it came out from the service it ran smoother than it ever has done. Cheers Ady

CORRADO IN KNOWING ME KNOWING YOU Episode 3!!
Ady_G replied to Nick_Micouris's topic in General Car Chat
It's on 'The Day Today', with Chrisopher Morris, which is the series Alan Partridge originated in, and it looks exactly the same as my Corrado. Speaking of pointless TV trivia, on your profile isn't that a photo of 'Corrado Soprano' Tony Sopranos uncle? Cheers Ady -
Count me in, I will have one. Does the exhaust also come with all the fitting kit - rubbers etc or do you rely on the exhaust fitter to do that? Cheers Ady

I think you re-oil them every 40.000 miles with K&N filter cleaner and oil, I've attached a PDF of the instructions that come with the K&N. Cheers Ady

Im interested in the group buy, need a magnex to go with my k&n now. Cheers Ady

Im on the look out for a magnex stainless steel for my VR6, from the cat back. Awesome GTI do one for £290 but that excludes VAT and delivery. Ady

When I unblocked my sunroof drain holes I thought there were only 2, 1 either side of the black plastic gutter. Cheers Ady

I'd try http://www.cel-direct.com/ They got a couple of good Alpine Mp3 head units for £230 & £260, also a 6 disc Mp3 auto-changer. I'm looking to upgrade to an Alpine Mp3 from an old Alpine tape deck in the next couple of weeks cos Alpine has the best sound quality IMHO. Cheers Ady

I got the same problem on mine, I got to change the directional cable cos there's a kink in it. Also the hot/cold cable keeps popping the clip off at the back of the control unit, so I might just change both of them. Is it an easy job to do, locating the other end of the cables or is it dash board to bits job? Cheers Ady
