What keeps your enthusiasm for corrado going?
Sonicriot13 replied to Jim Bowen's topic in General Car Chat
Is it giving you ideas Kev? Well....funny you should say that.... his old 2.8 24V is on the floor doing nothing :norty: A 2.8 24V with an R32 crank makes for one bomb proof 3.0 engine for turboing :D Good lad. :D You know it makes sense. What he said except replace VR6 with G60. I still feel the same excitement every time I sit in my G60 as I did the very first time I sat in one. After everything I've driven after a year working in the motor trade (I won't bore you with the list but rest assured it's a LOT of cars) I haven't come across anything that is as good a driver's car as a Rado. -

Don't even get me started on that!

Yeah, when he advertises it make sure he puts RARE in the title.

As you say yourself mate it's worth it if someone wants to pay that. Whether or not there is such a person remains to be seen....

Data protection? Couldn't be bothered to look more likely. Mileage and service date information is contained in the service record anyway so it's hardly secure. My G60 has a service book but it hasn't been stamped once so I'm hoping it's not the original! Might ring that number and find out.

There's some pretty cool ones here in Bury. Saw one the other day that was carrying two massive great shrubs in the back. Wish I could have gotten a picture of it. -
Project Shadow - NEW ROLLING ROAD RESULTS Pg8 and VIDEO!!

Ah, the memories. Can't beat a good trip to G-Werks! :D And Darren's dog is awesome! I need another trip down there soon for a few things. Probably nearer MOT time. -
And it's not like you will ever be carrying passengers in the back so putting the back seats down is not a problem. Plus putting the back seats down makes the car faster.

I'm glad it's not just me that has this trouble! I had to use Irwin bolt grips to get the rear caliper bolts off my car when I was doing the rear bearings. Get you out of all sorts of trouble those things. Being a pre-facelift owner (ie. no ABS) I'm not familiar with the bolt you are having trouble with though....

Hmmm... retro eh? Would probably go well with my steelies....

The righteous tone of someone who's never had a VR :D I can't really comment though having never driven G60.   I'm just a G60 person I guess. Last year I went out fully intending to buy a VR and after driving a few and looking at a lot of them I bought the first G60 I went to see. I don't know why either cos the first G60 I had a few years back was not the best example ever. Obviously even a rubbish one wasn't bad enough to put me off. And now I have an awesome one.

You guys had better watch it! :mad2:  Mind you, you can keep your cruisers. I'll stick to my sports car thanks.

Tell me something (VAG) I don't know....

There are few things in life more joyous than a German compound noun. You just need to learn to appreciate them. Try this one for size: Plinkenplankenplunkenboxgepounderoffengeshowenspelle. Apparently it means "piano recital". Here's one for "dog catcher": Barkenpantensniffersnatcher. Literally translated I think Volkswagenwerk Aktiengesellschaft just means "Volkswagen Corporation". -
That's ridiculous. How many people would even attempt to give him a part number? Not very many. So surely if he's any good he should be able to find the parts just from a description. Our parts person does that all the time. Shame I don't work in a VW dealership though....

That's because of another little known fact about Karmann Coachworks. In Osnabruck 95% Of the population carry the recessive gene for colourblindess of the type that causes a person to see purple as blue. :salute:  dr_mat told me that one by the way.... -

Dubious. "[ WARNING: the above message may contain irony, sarcasm and outright lies. ]" You decide. ;)[/quote:20edl7da] You may as well change that to "[ WARNING: the above message DOES contain irony, sarcasm and outright lies. ]"! Were you no the one that told me I was growing bald because I was getting taller and poking out through the top of my hair? Well, after hours of research and many sleepless nights contemplating this theory I have come to the conclusion that you were having me on! :bad-words: -

I would probably find that funnier if the first post wasn't so painful to read. I need to go and rest my eyes.... -
Very nice! Gonna show this to my girlfriend. She's thinking of replacing the Celica soon. :D

I think I'm just gonna have to get used to not having a sunroof at all. Mine's just there for decorative purposes!
