Like it. I want to get one of these for a restoration project but my girlfriend won't let me.
-
Awesome. :D Was this car at Edition 38 in 2007? I'm sure I've seen it.
-
There is a few about. My G60 is still in stow and there is a female drivin round in a black 1! :D I've seen her! :D :D :D on the A14 when it was still the Haughley bends. Her car looked sweet as. Can't say I've noticed her on here though. She didn't look too bad either.... :norty:
-
If we can get the guy with the VR to join in we can get the whole engine lineup in one picture. :D It would be red overload though! When I lived in Stowe I only ever saw one other Rado. I think that was a VR but it was dark blue.

Na its this 1!! CIMG0282.JPG[/attachment:3vl0vn04] Ah, yeah. Isn't that oldscoolkool (sorry if that's spelled wrong)? I met him at one of the Northgate meets. :D Sweet, we've got some cool Rados in these parts.

Does the blue one have the reg L666? If so I saw him today. Is he on here? Yeah, we've defo got to get some pics done mate. The more cars the better! :D
-
Very nice mate! :D The previous owner seemed to have his head screwed on when I met him and I think you got an absolute bargain with that! I'll keep an eye out for you on the A14!

Just had a text from my girlfriend. Mines at home waiting for me. :D Will fit tomorrow and put some pics up in my members gallery for those interested.

First ever produced VR6 motor in MK2 golf...?

A diesel engine with a G-lader? Yikes! Can't think why they binned that idea....  -
I don't think that picture does anything for the raccoon's case if I'm honest. That dog has clearly not consented to the sexual act being performed upon it. See, Weasels are ok but it's impossible to choose between them and Stoats. And we can't have both as there is only room for one Mustelid.

Bit of a running joke on here. All Corrados were built by Karmann Coachworks and the vast majority have a Karmann badge near the gear stick. You quite often see adverts for Corrados written by people who don't really know what they are selling saying that the car has the "rare" Karmann interior because of the badge. Always makes us laugh as EVERY Corrado has a Karmann interior! Unless of course someone has swapped theirs out for something else. The leather is very nice. I have a cloth interior in my current G60 but wish it was leather sometimes.
-
Probably the rare Karmann one.  That looks very clean. :D I leave my lights on all the time. My jump cables just live permanently on my back seat....
-
No, you paid considerably less than that you jammy git!
-
I can't picture those working on a rado. I'd stick with those bks you were thinking about. They'd look wicked. :D
-
If I get time today and I can find some suitable pics I'll try and photoshop something for you mate. Should give you an idea. :D

That was your old car was it? I cut a bit of wiring loom out and nicked some panels off it out the scrap yard this morning.... No you didn't!!!!! :bad-words: Don't say that. I thought you were my friend.... :( :( :(
-
Just used my God given powers as a Car Salesman to check up on my old G60 and it's sorned! Which means it's languishing somewhere.... :( :( :( Edit: and has been since May. :( If anyone sees a white G60 J76 OGS in someone's hedge or by the side of the road let me know!

So a 16 valve head on top of a 6 cylinder engine block. That's 2.666666666666666666666666666666666666 valves per cylinder. The question is does he think the 2.0 valver is a V6 or does he think the VR6 is a four pot? Or does he just have no understanding of these things whatsoever? He's lucky that advert isn't on ebay or else I'd ask him a question....
-
I can live with that. :D :D :D

I have driven so many different cars over the years (most of them costing a hell of a lot more than you could pick up a C for) and not much I've tried comes close to the Rado as a driver's car. How something can be so effortless yet remain so involving and engaging is beyond me. It still puts most modern cars to absolute shame in the corners, especially on fettled suspension. And even after all this time the looks are to die for. The attention it gets is phenomonal too. It's just everything I like about cars rolled into one, to the point where it's negative traits don't really register, they're just all part of the Corrado experience.
-
Anyone who currently owns a Corrado should never ever sell it unless it is to fund the purchase of another Corrado. :D When I saw my old G60 on ebay a while back all I wanted to do was buy it back.
-
You would say that Tom, you have a Corrado farm! :D
-
I know what you mean mate. And it would be awesome to rebuild the valver. Why don't you turbo it or something? But then you still wouldn't get the VR noise....
-
CorradoVR6-n.o.s I wish my red paint was as red as yours! :D Haven't got pictures of all my cars but here are some in chronological order: Mk2, bought off a hospital notice board for 50 quid. Fixed it enough to get an MOT on it then flogged it at 250% profit. Mk3 valver. Loved it. Sold that for more than I bought it for too. Sold the valver to buy this, my first Rado! At the same time I got this back on the road: Then during the dark winter of 2007 I was broke and had to sell all my cars. But May this year I acquired this: And I will be half way through my last tin of beans before I even contemplate selling it.

VR. Did you honestly expect us to say anything else?
