When asking around at the various ways of cleaning up pistons quite a few people have said c*ck... er, I mean Coke. I'm not sure if this is true or not but since I now have so many spare pistons I thought I'd try it. :lol: Coke. Please note: other horrendous chemicals are available. So 4 litres of Coke and 4 pistons in a bucket = quite a lot of fizzing.... I don't think I'm going to be drinking Coke for a while. :pale: After about 20 minutes the reaction started to look like this. As you can see there is a thin film of joobaldy goop on the surface of the Coke. Nothing much has really happened so far yet though so I'm gonna leave it over night and see what the score is. :D

I'm going to take up piston juggling. :lol: I have pistons everywhere! It's all good though. Shouldn't be too much longer now! :D crank spinning nice and freely? You should be able to turn it with one finger. 8) Oh yeah my friend. I can turn it with my little finger. It's sweet as anything. 8) Just going to order some new circlips for the weeny ends on Monday before putting the pistons and rods in. :D

Only ever heard of these being used in air cooled engines but could I get some for my G60? If so can anyone recommend a good supplier?

Bury St Edmunds is a whole lot less crowded for sure. :lol: It's pretty cool that if I wanted I could just go back there whenever. I've got family all over the place there too. A little bit mate. I've honed the cylinders and prepped the block for painting. It's looking lovely I must say. Picking up a few bits from CTWG60 at Stealth on Sunday and then I can start the rebuild of the engine in earnest. That's pretty much all that's left now. Rebuild the engine and plonk it back in. Will put a massive update up with loads of pics in a couple of weeks. :D

It was ok. I got sick of the guest bit years ago. I'm just not interested in how fast some z list celeb can get a z list car around a track. If you want my two pence, and you probably don't but I'll write it anyway, I think the current format as a whole has had its day and they should seriously consider quiting whilst they're ahead. I don't want to see the day when it gets so boring and predictable I can't be bothered to watch anymore. That's how I'm starting to feel. The odd episode has me in stitches but they're getting fewer with each series. I enjoyed James May's scalextric track more than Top Gear.
