I think i'm going blind, I can't see a wanted section anywhere... don't suppose you could point me in the right direction? Can't even see the thread under my profile there :S Cheers, Nick

That post has vanished! Guess the mods didn't take too kindly to my wanted ad and deleted it

Long shot I know, but if you don't ask you don't get! As per title, money waiting. Might be tempted with other wheels, similar budget. Pork twist? MOs? Try me :norty: Cheers, Nick

All diavia you say? Nice! So there is hope yet I guess...and I'll salvage what I can ;) Cheers!

Hi all, Anyone elses search not working right? Anyway, my Dad trashed his mk3 colour concept, before it goes I was wondering if any air con parts are interchangeable on my storm? (air con has been "bypassed" for some reason in the history, a hose has been cut near the gbox mount going through to the cabin...ideas what that is?) I'm guessing the answer would be "no" judging by all the diavia labelled stuff. Would take a look at the golf myself but won't get a chance to until the weekend. Cheers, Nick

Depends on the staff at my local... 90% are fine though. Don't have any problems now, I have a trade account through my limited company...a one man band! :norty:

How about? [video=youtube_share;cf7uJDhVZIE] :norty: Cheers for the reply, £70 a bit too steep for what I'm after (but good for a mint wheel) - the ebay ad looks promising, so I'll wait and see how it goes 8). Cheers, Nick

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind... Ideally just wanted a direct swap. How much would you want for it anyway? (inc. postage as you're quite far!) One of my alloys has cracked (not sure if it can be repaired) The rest of my alloys are cruddy, would look funny with 1 mint solitude on! :D But how much is "quite a bit"? ;) Hmm...perhaps I should use my cracked wheel as an excuse to get a new set of alloys? :norty: Nick

After 1 BBS Solitude. Might consider a set depending on condition/price. Cheers, Nick

urgent help needed with tyres stretch , clearing arches, lowering , etc
n3p replied to hawwy's topic in Drivetrain
If you really want the wheels on your car, personally I'd modify the arches to suit...just my opinion though! :) ET4 rears as bristolbaron says is pretty pokey! -

Never done it, but this may help you. I'm guessing removing the cowl might give you a better idea though. Btw, hi from another Croydon comrade! Don't suppose yours is a dark 16v I've seen appearing lately? :)

As far as I know it does. When I initially turn the key I can hear the 79 and 179 relays by the glovebox clicking, then when the ABS does its test procedure it makes a mechanical clunk sound in time with the light going out. From what I can hear it seems to be from the engine bay. Any ideas? Nick

Quick update - ABS kicking in when coming to a stop turned out to be a poorly fitted sensor. Again, thanks to Neil for spotting that! So, 2 relays, 1 pump, 1L of brake fluid and a ****-load of rain later and the nightmare is over! Well, hopefully! One last question if anyone could help? ;) When I put Neils fully working ABS ECU into my car, when turning on the ignition you can hear a click/donk as the ABS light goes out. With my waterlogged (but working?) ECU it doesn't, although everything seems to be functioning like it should. Anyone know what the click/donk is? Cheers, Nick Forgot to add:- fixed it in time for the MOT, thought I'd give it a wash and somehow managed to crack the windscreen! FFS

Quick update, Tested Buttles' ABS ECU in my car and vice versa - despite being waterlogged it still worked fine! We then plugged the connector loosely to the spare ABS pump I had, ABS light went out which was a bit odd, but still a relief. Despite the constant on/off rain we changed the ABS pump today (well, Neil did most, I was good for being the umbrella bitch and removing wheels). ABS light is now out and working! Sometimes it kicks in when approaching junctions but we're getting somewhere. Oh, and I need a new caliper as the bleed valve sheared off. All in all a good day, big thanks to Neil aka Buttles for all of his help. P.S - how comes "ABS" in search returns nothing?!

Hi Chris, Haven't found one yet - Anyone know if the ECU ending in E will work? Relays would still be handy but probably won't need the wires. However, if you've chopped them already then may aswell take them! Nick

New corrado owner from scotland, 2L 16V (seen better days) HELP?
n3p replied to elliott's topic in Newbies Hangout
Hi, before buying a new PAS pump you should check the belt tension and fluid level. Might need a good bleed also, got rid of my noise on the old 16v...if you do have to change the pump it's a pretty straight forward job anyway.
