  1. I can recommend you some really good, local places Matt. Don't ever resort to Kwik Fit, especially the ones around this area!
  2. I did wonder! I guess I'll need to get my arches rolled then, how low have you gone? Nick
  3. Cheers! Same wheels? What are the 225/35s like on the back? I was thinking maybe 215s, unsure of profile though :)
  4. Hi, don't suppose you remember what size tyres you used on the CHs? Stunning car btw, shame you sold up! Nick
  5. Thanks for finding them in the first place! I gave up looking for these a long time ago! Not ta on the RCs lol, I also have some RS's being rebuilt but waiting on stainless dishes so it's a bit of a BBS overload 8) OSV, they need to go anyway so I'll check the condition and let you know - probably for post + beer tokens. Have to look into what tyres to get...205/40/17 perhaps?
  6. looks like it! My first time hosting christmas dinner this year too! I'm really hoping these are genuine, can anyone confirm? Not sure about the 225/45/17 rubber, might be a tight squeeze. Will give me a chance to finally fit my KW V2s anyway!
  7. Oh sh*t, he accepted my offer!
  8. I had valve codes when my ABS packed in a while back, bought a used ABS pump from here for pretty cheap and it fixed the problem. What we found was that when we plugged the ABS pump electrical connector into the new one (not having removed the old one at all - lines still attached), there were no codes and the light operated correctly. It's a bit of a squeeze getting a second pump up to the connector, but do-able!
  9. Just seen this, looks the nuts! Good job! Your seats are getting me thinking ;)
  10. Cheers for the recommendation! I'll see what's available in a couple of months :) Rams, good idea - Not sure where I could get cream ends, although I've still got some gliptone scuffmaster which should have enough paint in there to do them... not sure if it'll last though if the doorcards going to be banging against it all the time
  11. I am getting a new gearstick surround made up, but anything else may be overkill! Although the central tunnel might be subtle enough ;) One gentle stroke when installed... fingerprints on cream leather is a no no my good man! Once I get some of this furniture clinic stuff or saddle soap then I can happily stroke to my hearts content :) (That could seriously be taken the wrong way!)
  12. It looks great, don't get rid! Slightly off topic, I don't suppose you Gloucester folks have ever seen my old corrado around your way? Last known to be owned by smokey69, green 16v on borbet As. J798 FCP. Always wondered what happened to it... Think the guy lived in Stroud Nick
  13. That's great advice - the trimmer said the dash would be ok in the sun, but I've heard horror stories of warped plastic Ford dashboards, so I don't to take a risk with leather! He recommended Auto Glym leather care cream, any experience with it or could you suggest something better? Thanks Campaign, I'll try to keep to a strict care routine going :) In other news I think I'm going to get the seats retrimmed soon, I don't think this Connolising lark is going to stand the test of time!
  14. Hi, Looking for the following: Passenger lower dash shelf with fixings (black preferably) Drivers side lower dash shelf (& Fusebox shelf) with fixings (ditto above) Rear De-mister switch Please let me know a posted price if available :) Cheers
  15. Just a quick update to say I decided to drive it to work this morning, freezing cold so good for lots to clear on the screen... worked alright! Tiniest bit of steam in the very lower passenger corner but otherwise good. Seems that most of the demisting comes from the big vents inbetween the speakers. Think I can live with it for now :)
  16. Well that's a bugger! Just been out for a blast and to test the vent. It seems to clear everything, albeit a little slower than normal (especially the passenger corner). I think I can live with it for a bit unless it really annoys me. At least it works to an extent but nevertheless i guess it'll have to be looked at eventually. Not confident enough to open the holes myself, plus I have no inserts. Something for next year methinks! It's rarely driven at least
  17. Wow, what a compliment! But all praise should be for the trimmer, a Mr. Paul Toogood from Auto Trimming in Wembley. I'm just the unlucky guy who had to install it! You're serious about the holes?! Dammit! When I turn the blower on air comes out from the vents inbetween the speakers and clears the screen so I assumed they were ok... Plus the covered holes seemed so far down. The last thing I want to do is take the dashboard out again, maybe I'll have to live with it over the winter and investigate in spring. Thanks also o Emu and Goldie for the comments :)
  18. Cheers Matt, was nasty and cold like you say but worth it in the end. I recently threw out some new 16v manifold gaskets dammit! But if you need a hand, some tools or a place to work give us a shout :) Drove past yours again the other day looking lonely on the hill lol
  19. Thanks Dgarwood and Jim - glad its not just me who likes it! I'm thinking about it, but I'm wondering if it would be a bit overkill... Will have to try and find some pics of others who have done it (which I'm assuming there must be). I've spent far too long these past couple of weekends on the interior though so I'll put up with the mangled black shelves for a bit until I'm mentally prepared to work on it again... Tis cold out there! :)
  20. Thanks for all of the comments, means a lot! Rams - The trimmer and I were a bit stumped as to what those holes were for so we decided to just cover them. Knowing my luck, I'll bet you're going to tell me that they're integral and I'll have to pull it out again? :) The 2 screws via the engine bay were very fiddly, sometimes I question the design! The interior is pretty much done now. Only thing I have to get are replacement lower dash shelves as they got rather mangled. They are resting in situ for the purpose of the pics though. Oh, and the carpet has gone a bit funny in places so I'll have a look at that next chance I get. Feels nice just to drive the car again! Will also order some new mats! Carpet needs to re-jigged here Lower dash shelf just resting in I feel this is how the dash should have left the factory in the first place! Plans next - Parcel shelf and headlining mainly interiorwise (as well as upgrading the speakers).Watch this space! Nick
  21. Today I lost the battle against darkness, but I got a fair bit done! I'm hoping the black lower dash shelves will look alright with the cream dash. More to come tomorrow! Excuse the mess!!
  22. Matrix done, pretty straight forward once you have the dash out... Makes me wonder how the hell some people manage it with it in! The old matrix didn't look too bad actually: Also started putting the cleaned carpet back, used some carpet spray adhesive to stick it down. Slowly starting to resemble a car interior again! Nick
  23. Thank you very much for confirming that for me - order placed :)
