I have a round trip of nearly 80 miles to get to my garage whom I trust to do all my work aswell as MOT's......a good garage is hard to find unfortunatly !! Most people think I'm mad but it gives me piece of mind and also means I get to drive the C more :D !! I found my garage on here so maybe put a post up for good garages in your area.....you never know

Can anyone tell me what the adjustable boot rubber 'knobs' are for......the ones that sit under the boot either side which can be wound up and down ?? Thanks Danny

This is so true, I use the C as a second car and use my moped around town, a few weeks ago I had to use the C around town and I couldnt believe the amounts of dings and prangs it got in two weeks town use......pi"%^ed me off rotten....a lot of people dont give a damm what they hit :bad-words: I was also thinking of respraying but thinking it just isnt worth it :(

cool, having never seen a brand new corrado in the flesh I wasnt sure if they came like that as new, I bet they bring the rest of the interior up......subtle things !! next pay check will be going on the subtle things in life then.... danny

ok at the risk of sounding a complete dick which one is the new one, is it the Matt looking ones becasue they look really cool.......really nice motor by the way !! If it is the matt ones are they standard VW items ?

Thats exactly what I did......but it has to be said only after my uncle suggested it.......crapped myself a few times when it pinged out under load and cracked against the housing !!! wind and rain never good :(

Exactly the same thing happened to me over the summer.....I was so F$%&ked off :bad-words: :bad-words: .....bought a whole unit and replaced the metal swival joint you have just machined.....good stuff by the way :notworthy: , wish I had a lathe handy to mess around on....if you havent done it already its an absolute bastard to get back in the unit - took me an hour, cut hands and high temperatures before it was back in :? !!! good luck :wave:

it must have cost him more....think about the man hours !!! on the one hand I admire people that go to this sort of detail and on the other I worry for their sanity......I sometimes wish I could have this type of dedication but then I stop and realise I'm normal......the funniest one was the guy and his white vauxhall VXR detailing that someone posted here once.....laughed for days :) -
you will spend hours looking for this......I know some garages (bad ones) stuff carboard in all sorts of places to 'cure' customer issues with squeeking and noises.....not that I'm saying you should do this by the way. Still cant find where a squeek is coming from my old mans brand new GTV (now 7 years old), he just turns the music up now like you said !!!

most replicas never look quite right but from those pictures thats frigging amazing !! but how can someone so clearly talented do such a dumb thing as to build it in the basement ?? -
good post.....I replaced both of these last summer and the biggest difference I found was with the PCV, I found the differences very subtle but very worth it.
