Im the least mechanically minded person EVER dude. Relyability is gonna be the deciding factor whatever I do, not sure I trust a tuned G60 as a daily.

Christmas day and I'm sat driving myself nuts over this bloody car! Im still in two minds about it. After looking at all sorts of cars old and new I cant find anything like the corrado. Pm me offers for the car and I'll get back to you. Cant promise im gonna sell it though and if I keep it then its gonna be BAM TIME!!! Happy christmas everyone.

Yeah im gonna finally jump in and say that all this TT bashing just wants to make me prove the haters wrong. Both the TT and the Corrado have thier good points and bad points. I'm looking for a daily driver and cant justify using the Rado as one. If you wanna call TT drivers fags then fine, I've loved owning a corrado, I wanted one since I was a kid and since having two I've enjoyed every minute of them. If I wanna drive a pink TT around now its up to me. Don't mean im gonna start loving men. I get the impression that some people buy a corrado just so they can join an exclusive club of rado owners, as if its some duty to car enthusiasts. One day I hope I'll have enough cash to maintain a corrado properly, until then I'll be driving my poofs car. Maybe I drank too much tonight! Good night. :)

Its a case of so much to think about with no real right answer i guess. Have always wanted a corrado since I was a kid, now I've owned two and if this hadnt happened I'd not be considering losing the one I have. This is a choice made with my head not my heart. Will be putting a breaking advert in the for sale section soon. Sure I'll have another rado one day.

Its alright bud was only messing. Cant afford to fix it and get the TT I doubt. So keep it or break it? I'll sleep on it. :)

Do you have any idea how much it would cost to replace the engine though. Just worried in the current climate I wouldnt get my money back?

Well my G60 has decided to give up on me, Very bad noises coming from the bottom end of the engine and drives like a sack of s**t. It's my own fault really as I've spent loads getting it to look how I wanted without attending to the tired engine. My first thought was to 1.8t it but after looking into it I could buy a TT for the same price as the conversion, then today I went and test drove a TT 225 coupe with 110000 miles and was blown away. Couldnt belive it had done as many mile as my G60 as it honestly felt like a new car. The way I see it is even if I spent the money putting a 1.8t in the corrado its still gonna feel old. Really depressed about this as I never wanted to get rid of this car but cant justify spending thousands on it if im never gonna be happy. Does anybody think there is a market for a practically immaculate corrado minus an engine? Its had, Respray in Fiat new orleans blue, FK coilovers (koni internals), 15x8.5 bbs Rms with new tyres (less than 100 miles!), Magnex exhaust, Mk3 golf recaro colour concept seats (red and black leather), unknown brand exhaust manifold. Basically just want some Ideas what to do with it. Break it, sell it or garage it? Cheers people. :(

Thanks mate. If I got the rear corrado frame would it be possible to fit the leather with a bit of a trim or will it look rough?

I have found some seats I like but they are in a mk2 golf. I know people have converted rado rears into mk2's but does anybody know if it can be done the other way round? Also have been told that mk2 seat frames are the same as rado's is this right? Thanks.

Ok I finally finished this yesterday. If anyones thinking of doing this then good luck cos its a total ball ache! I rushed it a bit so the joins are a bit rough and its not perfectly straight tbh, so I'm thinking of making a second one.

Hi I just bought some rm's but am driving myself nuts trying to figure out what width outers to get. Im looking at these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 2759.l1259 but worry that they may be too wide. As far as I can tell the wheels are 6.5 inch wide with 1 inch lips making them 7.5 inch wide? So the 2.5 inch dishes im looking at would make them 9 inch wide? The offsets et33 so what would they end up being? Ta.

Was looking at that guide on how to do them earlier and have found someone with three for sale on Ebay. That should give me a chance to cock one up! Ill let you know how i get on.

I've seen a red corrado (foreign I think) with a 7 slat badgeless grill. It had 14 inch wheels on it at some point. Does anybody know if you can buy these anywhere. Or If he made it do you know if he's on here so I can ask him some questions? Ta

The wheels are definatly 4x100 so I dont need to worry about that. Does anyone know if schmidt use spigot rings or if they make the wheels fit you're hubs without. Thanks again for you're help bud. :D

Hello Im looking at getting some wheels that have a centre bore of 54. As I understand the corrado is 57 what are my options? I think Im going to be fitting spacers so do some exist that change the bore size? Or will I have to have the centres milled out? Thanks.

This is good news!!! I didn't want to get 7.5's and regret it. What tyres do you suggest and does anybody have any pictures from the back?
