Hello, I've tried the search but still have doubts. I'm looking at getting a set of 9x16 et15 borbet t's. Im fitting them to a G60. Im not sure how much arch work im gonna need to do with a drop on coilovers as well. My car has a complete new paint job so im not really interested in streching the arches out as it could mean respraying, will rolling the arches be enough though? I would happily get 7.5x16 on the front and 9x16 on the back but would it be much more work to fit 9's all round. Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance.

Ok so 17"x7.5 ET52 Is better I take it. I've never seen 15mm adapters only 20mm. Never been able to get my head around offsets, Thanks for you're help.

Hi im looking at getting some 17 inch porsche wheels. The ones im after are on Ebay now (item:170232086202). They are 17x7.5 ET23 all round. What width adapters will i need? Or does the offset leave me with no room for adapters? I fitted Design 90's to my old 16v and had a huge headache getting them to sit right in the arches so I want to know that these will work! Thanks in advance.

Maybe if the bottom two slats of the grill were black it would tie it in better but I am like the black mirrors and have been thinking of doing to mine for a while now.

Tried the search but not found an answer. I have a J reg G60 and a K reg 2.0 16v. The G60 has an rs front bumper on it and I'd like to swap it for the standard one on the 16v. I know that the wings are wider between G60/ vr6, 16V but I have also heard that there are G60's with wider arches. The bonnet on the G60 is the earlier style but I have no idea if the wings are wider or not. Basically if worst comes to worst and it turns out the 16v is wider and the G60 is narrower what will the difference between the narrow wings and wider bumper look like? Will it be minimal or look nasty? Has anybody fitted a wide bumper to a narrow car? Thanks.

20 minutes after i bought my rado I was sat in a traffic jam and someone in a calibra next to me asked if i wanted to sell it!!! I politly refused and flew off as he tried to race me when the traffic cleared!

:D Thanks mate. Then I may be saying goodbye to my old valver.

I have a 2ltr 16v with fk coilovers and am just wondering if anybody could tell me if they would fit a g60? thanks :D

vw and corrado badges are both now gold and the rear is dropped a bit too. Also just found a new rieger grill/eyebrow to put on. Keep suggestions coming.

Quite a complete list of stuff, including some cack. http://www.thecorrado.com/entuning.html#phares sorry if you've seen it before.

Just realised I haven't put any pictures up of my car. So far, fk coilovers, fk 30mm hub adapters on rear, h&r 45mm on front, porsche d90 8 inch rear and 7.5 front, Few bits resprayed, engine mounts, various bushes and hoses replaced. Since the photos the fk grill flew off and i've got some new tyres (up a profile which looks and rides much better). Let me know what you all think.

A few people have mentioned to me before about a 1.8 head on a 2 litre. Ive got a 2 litre 16v and am looking for a bit more poke so what exactly do i need? 1.8 head? Inlet manifold? I dont have a lot of knowledge on engines to be honest. Any help appreciated.

My cars a 2.0 16v and im looking at changing the engine this year. How much work is involved in fitting the g60 lump? I cant really afford the 20v route so failing the g60 engine what else could i look into for a cheap, reliable 200plus bhp. Thanks.

just look 1 off but it had been stuck on so gott find away 2 remove all the glue or watever it is!!! :? HA HA HA HA HAHA Im so glad im not the only person to have removed them and found glue. I used superglue remover which also took off a layer of paint. So im getting the door panel resprayed on thursday at last. You could try boiling water and a plastic knife. I got alot of the superglue off like that. Good luck with it!!!

all i want is to lower it 30mm or so. i need spacers because the wheels are the wrong offset (old wheels from my girfriends mini) and the wheels are only 7j wide. as far as my knowledge goes low profile tyres are detremental to ride quality but improve grip, could be wrong.
-
haha very funny. wheels are in fact pro race 1.2s one of the lightest wheels available and with the low profile tyres roughly keep the same rolling radius. so less tyre flex and less weight. I'd say it driving would be a bonus yes. I dont want it scraping the floor just less roll. So instead of a load of smart ass comments has anybody got any advice?

Right, i started reading all of this thread but after 7 pages i was starting to lose the will to live. There probably is no concrete answer but what i want to know is-- My car (2.0 16v) has 17s on it 7 or 7.5 wide, cant remember the tyre depth but its quite a low profile. At the moment the offset is wrong and the wheels are sunk a little too far into the arches so im gonna get some spacers. I want to lower the car so what is the most suitable coilover kit. I dont mind the ride being too harsh and i'd like to go as low as possible. If the wheels were pushed out (with spacers) will i need to roll the arches (or bash them in with a hammer). I'd like to keep the budget down to around 750, any cheaper is a bonus. Thanks.

Whoa do you mean the big ugly plastic lumps running down the sides of the doors between the arches is just stuck on with tape??? No clips? if i take it off then there is just paint and no holes?
-
my theory is- its the immobiliser. does the immobilser engage when you turn off the ignition or when you lock the door? My car has a plug type thing you insert into the dash twice to turn off the immobiliser.would the engine even tick over if the immobiliser was on?
-
If lets say i wanted that engine in my car would you do it? and how much? roughly!

seems to happen if the engines warm/ just been out for a run. It just started first time from cold.
