1. I will include intake mani coilpack, ht leads, spark plugs, injectors and rail, had to keep the water and oil sensors though. The alternator won't be included I'm going to keep that. I'll get some pics up soon
2. Bump engines out and on a pallet ready to go!
3. Thought I would update, been a lot going on over the last few weeks. New engine acquired 2 months ago, now preparing the car for R32 goodness. Progress pics so far. Front off New beast Emptiness I have now unpicked all the wiring and its stretched out forward of the car, I am just deciding how to get this engine loom to integrate.
4. Ok guys, cue the stupid question. I have looked at the wiring diagrams and I know pretty much all the sensors I'm using and the old ones I need to keep. I've pulled the old loom out so that it now comes straight out of the bulkhead behind the brake servo and then ive laid it straight out. To preserve the old looms my intentions are to simply cut the plugs with enough wire to solder up a new wire into. I have looked at the options and I think my best choice is to go for the loom about a metre out from the bulkhead? Can I just simply cut out the bits i don't need on the engine side of the bulkhead and then splice into that to save me delving into the fusebox? i would also make things like water and oil sensors more direct and bypass the large multi pin plug originally on the side of the engine. Thoughts?
5. Could well be kev, a good idea though but ill just get hold of a T for now! Any idea what they cost and where from? I would also hazard a guess the sump helps. Its got a lot of surface area what with the fins hasn't it! Does sound very cool though, i used to see 110 above 70 mph on the 12v! Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
6. That's without an mfa temp then kev ? To get it to work you need to include the temp sensor in the filter housing, right? Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
7. Suggestions are a T piece mate, it's quite high pressure by the housing anyway, but I'd be tempted to give the vital one a direct connection and the other two on a t piece. The most vital in my mind is the low pressure switch, the high pressure switch should be fine on the t piece along with the temp sender. HTH
8. As I said I'd be prepared to meet a bit closer, I'm happy to reduce the cost slightly for delivery. £240 and I'll get it put on a pallet. Cheers.
9. Hi, I'll take the washer jets provided you knew they were working before removal and therefore the wires are all intact? Cheers
10. You talking about owning a plane? Not sure at all sorry. Ill be hiring for a long time to come! I don't thin it is a microlight mate. I've been up in an rv7a and its quite a machine! I think if not just a light aircraft itd be classified as a vla which is still heavier than a microlight. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
11. You want the part numbers for all the sensor plugs mate? I've just got this mk5 loom (built 2005 so early mk5) so I could read them off there for you? Guys, for the record I've been doing a lot of learning in this. It would appear although Vince is saying stick with the CD and CE ecu, if an ecu has run a BUB engine, it will run it. The fact I was finding part numbers for ECUs and a restriction to their years was just confusing me, even though they were for a BUB engine. The year restriction is down to differences with the car not the engine. We won't be using these bits so it should be ok.
12. Its included in the hourly Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
13. Yeah sorry i can't get the engine all the way to you. I can meet you north of London if it helps but otherwise a pallet would do it. (cheers Rob) Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
14. AFAIK, keep it, the ECU looks for the load from the relay. If it doesn't believe the SAI pump is working it will revert to non-adaptive. Just wire in the low current side. You can see the sensing loop on the wiring diagram I believe, might even be able to dummy it with a resistor.
15. Oh yeah i should have said this! I realised when i started looking at what was over that side. Luckily i was left with an aircon pump. Careful with the lambdas i swear some guys said they were different between mk4 and 5 the wires could still be similar though. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

18. It is! Im open to reasonable offers too. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 ---------- Post added at 1:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:17 AM ---------- Startup
19. As it happens the fella i bought the setup from has just found the lambda sensors he was including. They're being sent to me. It's likely these are mk4 as the wiring was stripped from one. If these are I'll be happy to swap them with you as i need the mk5s! Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
20. Thanks mate ill give them a call today, nothing on the site! I have a Mk4 Fuel rail fitted, it mates up fine and seems to seal properly with the injectors, is it ok using the Mk5 injectors? I read a few places that say fit the Mk4 injectors too?
21. The type rating is just the part of your licence which permits you to fly a certain type of aircraft. Yours will be SEP (single engined piston) land planes. The actual licence has a long validity, its the type rating which is the first to go if you don't keep current. For me not flying for 2 years did it! The insurance is covered in the hourly, but they have a lot of conditions to accept that you are insured like the aforementioned keeping current. Other things like not exceeding 'demonstrated' crosswind limits - the aircraft may well easily land in crosswinds far higher than this, but if the manufacturer didn't demonstrate it could do it, you're not insured. Gotta love insurance!
22. oh god, thought i had found an ecu but the hunt continues.... this is an absolute ball ache!
