How much do you want for it and do you know roughly how old it is? Thanks Mark

Genuine Rad required, must be leak free, the newer the better. can anyone help?

Is the ECP belt a continental manufactured belt? The VW dealer ones are and in my experience the aftermarket ones can squeal although function fine. Hopes yours is ok.

Weird chirrup / squeak from belt side of block on VR6.. think it's PAS pump.
PROVR6 replied to Jim's topic in Drivetrain
I'd also suspect the actual belt. Pour plenty of talc on it and if it stops the squeaking then its the belt. The squeak will soon come back, just make sure you order a continental belt as the aftermarket ones squeak. -
Very Proud To Have A Corrado As My First Car
PROVR6 replied to Kenyon-Corrado's topic in Newbies Hangout
Well done. My first car was a Ford Escort and it was a right lemon and took all my money. -
yep or any metal part of the chassis that is grounded. Ive got the same charger. If you connect the black cable to a non grounded section the lights will flash alternately, just redo the connections and try the black on a differnt piece of metal.

I wouldn't like it but I'd take a £175 hit to fuck up the speed cop. I know a cop and they do it all the time as its an easy way to hit their targets and get some easy overtime. Why bother catching burglars, its difficult to prove and a lot of paperwork for them. Call me cynical, but I've been caught by a traffic cop dressed as a bush hiding around a corner.

Not got around to changing the Rad yet, as I'm waiting for the warmer weather. I thought Id check on the coolant level anyhow and there was none left in the expansion tank. It took about 1/2 a jug to fill it back up to the max so there is still some in the system. Now I know its definitely leaking at the rad elbow, but surely it won't leak from there will it while its just standing? (Ive not been driving the car during the winter). Can it leak past the headgasket while the car is standing and not being driven?

Place some cardboard under the car to check for drips/leaks. Mine leaked from the radiator elbow which is a weak point.

Window Rollers Group Buy: A few sets left

any update on these? mine have not arrived yet either -
My corrado is registered to my wife and she does not have an insurance policy on the car. I have my own insurance policy on the car as the sole driver and informed the insurance company that my wife is the registered keeper not me. My wife has just queried whether this is legal? I've looked on google and got conflicting answers. Its not an immeadiate issue as the car is on my drive waiting for a new rad. I'm sure when I took out the insurance I asked the question and they said it was ok. I'll check with them anyway, but was wondering if any of you guys knew?

payment sent. sorry for the hold up -
Door membranes are another main culprit for wet footwells. Have you tried sitting in the car with someone running a hose over it? Mine was the foliage seal, Easy fix for once.

Haven't been on the forum as much as I used to due to other commitments. Im always interested though and try to get on when I can. Although Ive not met many people on here, I've noticed some familiar names and those that have given me advice in the past selling up in recent weeks and its quite sad :( Some are very surprising as they have seemed really committed in the past. I can understand it though, as I think most owners have considered selling at some point(s). I just hope they don;t leave the forum, even if they do decide to part ways with the corrado.

Mine has air con (albeit it don't work) so is probably more cramped. How easy is it to do in the bay? Sparks - you could be right about the clip, as that is it the exact loaction where I first noticed the coolant, it seemed to get an air bubble every second or so after the engine was switched off.

Thanks guys for the advice and encouragement. Cazza - Yeah definitely would only use VAG. Sods law took the missus' MX5 for a cambelt service today and they said it needs rear coils and front discs/pads. £150 bill shot upto £500. Got a spare scorpio which I use for my ebay deals and reluctantly the wife had to drive it only for the exhaust to go. Unbeliveable 3 cars all out of action together. Too be fair, Ive not had too much go wrong with the corrado, but as its not a daily it will have to wait a couple or so weeks

The Crazies. Watchable, but not one you would revisit. Some jumpy moments and the blond is nice eye candy. 6.5/10

I think you guys might be right. Took it for a drive and where ive been yanking it about, the coolant is pissing out. Reckon I can just about top it up and drive it to the garage. Id rather not use the garage as they can be a bit careless and got a dent in my door last time I used them, but they are close.. :(

Tryed to undo the other nut, and it turns but won't unscrew. I think over time its rusted into the brass holders and they just turn with it. In the pic below (not mine but alas a fellow corrado sufferer :( ) the gold arrow points to the area which has cracked. Im hoping that the crack can be filled with some plastic weld and that it hasn't cracked on the inside, which i won't know until I get the elbow off. RADLOOSETHREAD-VR62.jpg[/attachment:5ncmvrc5] Reading some other threads, someone suggested using a longer bolt and a nyloc nut which seems a good idea. Does anyone know if the bolt holes are sealed or go all the way through? Also do you think I would still need the brass clamps with the nyloc nut method? At the moment I am unable to get the elbow off. I was hoping at least one bolt would come out so I could create a gap to prise the other bolt and brass insert together. Any other ideas of how to remove the elbow? At the moment the car drives and loses coolant quite slowly. If i try to force the elbow off and crack the rad Im fooked as I can't do that myself and won't be able to drive to the garage. :gag: Got to say, I think this is a real bad design. If I bought a brand new rad, does it still use the brass inserts?

any suggestions? :tumbleweed:

Got my bits from the dealer and had a go today. Looked real easy but didn't pan out that way. I sprayed the two hex bolts with wd40 the 2 nights before to help. Used my hex socket on my drill and the fuckers wouldn't budge. Started to worry it might be a reverse thread so looked in the Bentley and couldn't find any mention of it. Switched guns to a spanner and with brute strength it started to budge. Gave it some more and it cracked the bottom plastic bit it screws into on the rad. Now it just turns makes the crack bigger and then the crack closes up again after the bolt has turned. Can't get the bolt out. Can someone tell me if it is a reverse thread and have I inadvertantly overtightened it? (I turned counterclockwise). How do I get the bolts out and can the plastic section be repaired with some resin or something? I sure has hell don't want to fork out for a new rad and have the front of the car off.

g60jaime's G60... recommissioning for the road

sounds like you've checked the usual suspects. Could it be sunroof drain channels blocked? Id sit in the car with someone running a hose. -
Non Daily Corrado Owners- How often do you drive yours ?
PROVR6 replied to VWVW's topic in General Car Chat
Ditto. I usually only use at the weekend, like you just to give it a run. I think they can get a bit sluggish if left for too long. This year though I haven't driven it nearly as much :( I don't disconnect the battery though and its fine. I put a solar trickle charger on in the winter.
