Hi there, my windscreen wipers have developed a mind of their own due to a faulty stalk. My car is a 1991 corrado G60 and im wondering if i can use the MFA stalk out of any other corrado? or is it specific to the G60. Are all versions compatible depending on age? thanks.

Can anyone tell me which position no1 cylinder is on the distributor cap. I thought it was in the 7 0 clock position? Its a G60 engine, cheers.

Hi there, i have just discovered that both my outer door handles have snapped at the point where they lever the lock open. Is this a common problem? i have heard there might be a repair kit available if anyone can shed any light on this? What is the going rate for a pair of handles these day and can the locks be swapped out to another handle to keep the same key?. One more thing are the handles all interchangeable or will i have to watch out for the type i get, my corrado is on a H plate, cheers.

Sorry if this has been asked a lot but im working offshore and dont have a lot of time to get the information i want. Im just wondering what (if anything) needs to be removed from the boot to gain access to the vacuum pump. Assuming this pump isnt working, is there a fuse in the circuit that could be checked first?. Is it the microswitch that triggers the pump on both locks?. Also where is this T-piece that connects both locks to the vacuum line located? Does anything have to be removed to gain access to it? thanks in advance.

Hi there, i have a 1992 corrado G60 and the central locking has stopped working. Can anyone tell me how this system works and where to start faultfinding? Im assuming there are two solonoids interconnected and triggered by the key? although i have heard the system may be gas filled? im working offshore and cant have a look myself and need to pass on some info to my dad. Any help appreciated. Is there a fuse in this circuit? cheers.

Ok thanks for that. Have you repaired them in the past then? If so do you still offer a guarentee on the charger? I dont have any pictures, it was a unit on ebay i was looking at but decided not to take the risk until i knew more about it.

Well this is what im trying to find out from other peoples experience. I dont know if it is worth doing which is why i started this thread. Looking at the price of new/reconditioned chargers it is definately something worth looking into more. I was hopeing that more people would have come forward who have tryed to repair one but maybe no one has taken the risk in the past of having one repaired like this?. Im still hopeing someone who works on them for a living might come forward with an opinion on this.

Well maybe someone who has had one repaired and reinstalled it or a specialist can come forward and shed a little bit more light.

Ok so refacing the scroll may be a little beyond what is worth doing. How about damage to the edges where the apex strips sit, in the scroll or the casing? are there any specialists on here who could maybe shed a little light onto this subject?

Can anyone tell me how repairable the G lader is. I saw one on ebay recently described as damaged/repairable. There was a chunk missing from the centre scroll just where one of the apex strips would sit. The guy selling it seemed to think that this was repairable. Does anyone know what can be done with them in terms of repair to these areas? Can they be welded? what extent of damage can be fixed? Has anyone had one repaired? Cheers.

Hello all. Just wondering if there are any new panels available for the corrado at all? My car has just failed its mot on a small section of sill close to the suspension mounting point. It looks like it needs a sill, an outer arch and some inner arch to me to do it properly. If nothing new is available does anyone know of any good second hand panels?

I have a 1992 corrado g60. It has a slight misfire/flat spots under load. The car has been serviced, charger rebuilt etc, including plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor, oil, oil filter, air filter. After having a look around i noticed that the vacuum pipe from the fuel pressure regulator to the throttle body was perished. I called vw who said it is only available in 5M rolls. Does anyone know where to get this pipe from other than vw? Im in the north-east, cheers in advance.

I know there is an o ring on the oil filter then there is one on the underside of the cooler, these two sit together. However on the top of the cooler i dont remember there being anything sitting between it and the oil fiter housing that bolts to the block? i have replaced the green paper gasget already. Thanks so far.

Im in the process of replacing my orignal oil cooler on my g60. I have come to putting the new one back on and wondered if anyone can tell me if there is supposed to be a seal between the filter housing that is bolted to the block and the cooler itself? I dont remember taking one off but it seems like there should be one as oil is flowing just inside of it?? any help appreciated.

Just thought id have a look on german ebay and it seems there are plenty of g laders for sale over there. Has anyone bought one from there? I have been on the look out for one as i have seen a few g60 engines come up for sale without the charger attached. The only problem is that, believe it or not, its all in german! can it be translated somehow? looks like a good place to get them and rebuild kits for them.

Does anyone know of a good VW breaker that has corrado parts off the shelf? Or better still does anyone have an accident damaged G60 they want to sell?

Hi there just wondered if anyone knows of a good vw breakers where i can get hold of corrado parts. Im after everything from the g60 engine to full 288mm brake set up? Alternatively does anyone have a g60 corrado that has been accident damaged that they are selling or know of one, thanks.

Hi there im looking at buying a full stainless exhaust system. My requirements are no cat (or bypass?) good fit, and not noisy. If anyone has fitted one that meets these requirements please let me know :) Also what sort of price am i looking at? Finally im going to replace all my engine mounts so the new exhaust doesnt self destruct like the old one has, can anyone recommend the best place to buy them from?

ok thanks, have you replaced the gearbox mount and rear mounts or just the ftont mount?

Hello everyone. When i bought my G60 i noticed that one of the engine mounts was not as stiff as it ought to be and this was causing excessive engine movement when accelerating, and it would make a knocking noise as it rocked. Over a period of time this movement has taken its toll on the whole exhaust system which is now on its last legs. Out of interest i took it to my local exhaust centre who confirmed that the exhaust was shot from the cat rearwards, the most likely cause being the engine mounts. They then quoted me 230 for the centre pipe and back box fitted which was a bit of a shock. Im now thinking my best approach would be to replace all of the engine mounts and the whole exhaust system. Has anyone replaced their engine mounts? What is involved? Also would i be better off buying a stainless steel system if im going to be paying all that money out? Any help appreciated.
