No g 60 chargers available i take it?

Sorry just realised your selling the front rubber flex hoses. Can the calipers be had New?
-
I'll have a look at the HEL hoses as well thanks.
-
Hi mate juat looking at that goodridge kit it would make sense to get that and go brand new calipers on the rear how much are you looking for the pair of calipers?
-
Vw heritage couldn't help in the end.
-
Sorry i know this topic had been done to death and I have been using the search function but can anyone advise me on the correct goodridge kit and what rear calipers that kit suits and whether it would be worth replacing the rears also. Thanks.
-
Still waiting for vw heritage to get back in touch about the goodridge kit and whether they can justvsupply the front hoses. I'd imagine this would place more strain on the other rubber flex pipes though. What calipers are worth upgrading to for the rears as ive heard the standard vr6 rear calipers suede up?. Ideally I'd buy a lot that would allow me to replace all the hoses and upgrade the rear calipers. I dont want to have to buy a full kit only to be able to use the front hoses. Are the golf vr6 calipers that would come in the kit a worthwhile upgrade?

After speaking with my local VW parts department it looks like the VAG hoses mentioned in another thread have been discontinued which leaves this kit; SVW0604-6P. I'm still waiting to hear back from VW heritage about a pair of conversion hoses just for front brakes made by Good ridge. Is it worth purchasing the SVW0604-6P kit and upgrading to the late mk3 golf rear calipers aswell?
-
Maybe the rear hoses fit a caliper on the rear that would be worth upgrading to?
-
Cheers, do you have a part number for the right kit?
-
Just cost. I thought you had to buy a full kit front and rear from goodridge?

Hi im rebuilding a pair of 288mm front calipers and am on the hunt for a set of hoses that will fit. The car is a N reg Vr6 and the calipers are the banjo type. After searching the forum I've found a few options. Can anyone conform that 1H0611701B is the correct part number for one of the oem hoses for this set up please as i just want to be sure before ordering. The car is on standard suspension, cheers.

Cheers. I'm just going to make sure that's my problem as the motor does work but intermittently. My plan is to remove the cassette from the car give it a good clean and regrease and replace any worn/broken parts if they are available. VW heritage were stocking more corrado parts last time I looked on their site and they listen to enthusiasts who need a common part/parts remanufacturing so it may be worth a representive from the club having a word about this? Maybe this has already happened but if not just a thought to save a lot of broken sunroofs.

Great had a look at that. Looks useful, are my symptoms indicitave of a particular fault or could they be a result of a combination of things?. For the motor to operate smoothly on tilt but intermittently on slide would this suggest that the motor would probably be ok?. I'll be having a good look at it next week but just trying to be as prepared as I can. I bought the recommended grease to my lubricate the mechanism with but noticed in that thread there was mention of using a spray lubricant instead. I understand the idea behind grease attracting dirt and then becoming more of a problem but surely it's acceptable in a fairly discreet location like this? Plus it's what vw recommended I believe?.

So possibly remove the motor and put a spot of paint on cables and motor teeth that were engaged before disassembly? Is he interested to know more about this plastic circular piece, are they available still do you know? Thanks.

Just been reading through this thread trying to pick out some information for my specific problem. It seems my symptoms are quite common. The sunroof will tilt no problem, it will also slide but only a little bit at a time meaning I have to repeatedly press the slide function. The mechanism can be operated manually no problem although it does feel quite tight. I was thinking of replacing the motor but by the sounds of it that's not going to resolve my issue. What would people recommend? The headlining is out anyway as it needed recovering so I've got access to the sunroof frame now. Are parts still available? Any help appreciated, thanks.
-
Thanks mate what's the part number on the one that works and how much do you want for it?
-
Can anyone tell me the part number of the replacement sunroof motor that will fit right in to replace the original?
-
Thank you. I have some constellation in the fact I still have my mk1 golf and a 16vg60 engine ready to go in it. I just need some cash to finish it off hopefully in the not too distant future. It does look great when clean and polished. What worries me is these old cars tend to throw allsorts of curveballs at you. I image once I start prodding and poking I'll find more trouble lol.

Thanks mate.

I'm still around the Middlesbrough area. I'm staying at patents house in yarm but the car is in a garage in Darlington at the moment. That's a fair shout about the ecu settings the battery has been flat a few times. I'm planning on getting it running next week then I'll get torn into it. Will be sad to see it go but needs must. Prices seem to be all over the place. There don't seem to be too many unmodified examples left so hopefully that will help with the sale. I was talking to a lad on here who had a mk3 golf motors so I'll give him a shout see.if he still has it.

Thanks caz. It's been a cracking car. I just want to get it back on the road and in good condition. There are no noises with regards to the chains. There is a tapping noise from cold though. I'm thinking maybe a temp sensor is causing my starting issues.
-
I take your point. I know it's structurally sound but the front brakes are out of balance. I'd like to get the obvious faults taken care of before I mot it just so I've gone more time to focus on anything else it might fail on. I was thinking I could get it running, sort the brakes and refit the headlining before taking it for a test. Just want to be sure I fix the sunroof issue properly before I reinstall the headlining. The timing chains/tensioners haven't been done either and I'd read that people tend to do these along with the clutch around 100,000 miles.

Hi everyone. I'm starting this thread as I would like to call on the help of forum members in order to bring my corrado out of hibernation and eventually sell it. I've owned it for a number of years and loved it. It's a black N reg VR6. After my son came along I bought a bigger family car and the corrado languished on my mam and dad's driveway. It eventually made it's way into the garage at the house I rent and has been there for 6 months or so now. After splitting up from my partner and being denied any contact with my son I'm having to sell whatever I can in order to prepare myself to pay for an expensive legal battle. The corrado will have to be sold so I'm calling on your help to guide me through the resuscitation and give me an idea of what it might be worth. I'll get some pictures if how it stands just now and list the work that needs doing. Issues at the moment are; It won't idle. Headlining is out as I've recovered it. Sunroof was sticking so I was going to try a new sunroof motor in there to start with as the mechanism works fine and runs smoothly when operated manually, nothing appears to be broken. I've heard mk3 golf motors fit? No mot so will have to take it along when I think it's ready. Rust coming through in a few places. I'll get pictures. Drivers door glass is loose, door handle pulling away from door. I have some 288mm calipers to go on the front of the car just need to work out what flexi pipes I need for them. I'll get some pictures of them. It's done around 100,000 miles, had a full service history when I bought it but I did all the servicing from then on. It's got air con and the heated black leather interior. It's standard apart from an aftermarket airfilter and stainless cat back exhaust. My plans are to get it mot' d tidy it up and service it then sell it. I'd appreciate any advice on how best to tackle the issues I've mentiond or any advice on what else I should sort out to get me a fair price for the car. Thanks for reading.

Would love to do the same to mine one day but I've got a 16vg60 on the go for a mk1 golf at the minute which has taken all my time and funds. Would really like to get some forced induction going on with the vr6, but that would take a fair sized budget. I'm no vr6 expert but would it be worth getting the head to flow better as well if possible? I don't even know if it's possible, maybe some of the vr6 experts can comment on that. Be good to follow your progress.
