there are refurb kits out there and aslong as you use the correct grease you should be fine ive heard you have to heat bearings up and cool parts down to get it all to fit but nothing an engineer anit used to talk to jabba in Peterborough or only charged dubs for advice failing that google G60 refurb kit

Hi there Im selling my G60 due to the fact i have a Type R and old V new the Type R wins ok its a J reg 118k corrado the previous owner before me done all the bodywork but didn't touch the mechanics i sorted the mechanics but let the body work go its a juggling act with a G60 car located cambridge area CB7 Price £1500 ok bad points first its got rust in 4 places 1 where the boot floor inner joins with the rear panel 2 rear l/h/s/ under the light cluster (shown in picture) 3 rear r/h/s wheel arch 2 places (shown in pictures) 4 front r/h/s sill (show in pictures) sunroof tilts but doesnt slide common problem interior heater matrix slight leak (needs replacing ) and the paint faded (tornado red a common problem )all easy fixes for someone who loves body work Good points and there many full coil over suspension KW1 inox with adjusting C spanner full supersprint exhaust (Downpipe back ) black diamond predator pads and discs (front only standard on rears) rear wheel bearing changed new water pump fitted gearbox 2nd and 5th changed for a VR6 ratio (better 0-60 and better fuel encomium on motorways ) vibratect mounts in the engine bay all 3 stage 4 supercharger (jabba) needs a rebuild soon its got 3k miles left (25k service life )although i did have her stripped down at 15k only to be told this is one of the best chargers ive seen (midland VW)quote from Brian at Jabba to rebuild £340 68mm supercharger pulley (16psi boost ) spoiler up and down as normal working fine inpro headlights borbet A 16x7 alloys (need a refurb but straight and true with a new set of locking flat plate bolts shinny shinny ) k&n panel filter (plus filter cleaner ) SNS anti lag chip BBM outlet replaces the crappy plastic silencer box Brand new S4 bosch battery mocol oil cooler rad new VR6 clutch (changed while the gearbox was out ) uprated lighting loom (3 relay job) daves handle repair kit on both doors (there are abit stiff till they bed in ) lupo arm windscreen wipers (much better than original corrado items ) rolling roaded print out for 165bhp at the wheels (no bull**** 200bhp flywheel crap) fresh oil change (titan race pro S 10w 50w from opie oils ) and filter change before i took her off the road shes running 10 psi at the moment due to the charger close to refurb and still goes like stink pulls strong in every gear when you get the charger done she will fly as the fuel map will be correct again (god im going to talk myself out of selling it at this rate ) a bag of spares like switches,indicator arms,interior fan motor,spare spolier controller not exactly sure what i have but your welcome to it spare bosch wpd60 spark plugs (i used to change them every 12 months and keep the old set as back up )other bits of trim the previous owner had collected that i wont need when she goes she starts 2nd time(after standing for a month )which is pretty good i think (got to get the petrol into the rail and clean the plugs ) she has no MOT although flew thought last time current mileage 118k last mot feb15th 2014 mileage 117k she been standing SORN for the last 2 1/2 years (hence lost interest)but started every end of month and warmed up and given alittle drive around so nothing locks up box file full of receipts listing everything thats been done to her incase ive missed anything first picture is one how she looked when i picked her up the rest are how shes looks know like i say tried red paint work cheers stu ..

shes just thinking of the amount of dirt shes got to shift thats got to be a triple plot size a guy done it in America in his corvette has to get special permission and have all fluids drained from the car and the removal of the engine and petrol tank they sat him in the driver seat and rolled the car into the hole so to speak thinking about it sign me up thats a hell of a way to go

BBM is twin scroll no apex seals as such wearing on the side casting all the time hence why jag ,mini ,merc are all roots /twin scroll although G60 performs the best v bhp zapping off the belt as for noise have you ever heard a BBM without the sliencer kit on it God thats loud nice at shows and car parks but not on long drives and on the way to work everyday like you say horses for courses

bbm is fit and forget but the noise is totally different and the thing that makes a G60 is the G60 charger and like you say BBM is very expensive as for the chains yes most people i know buy a VR6 and the first job they do is service the chains but then again how easy its it versus cost to get more power out of of a VR6 most poeple chip and smaller pulley G60s at low cost to get the same power as a VR6 without the front end weight of one

poor pressure my charger needs doing its got a 68mm pulley so it needs servicing every 30K-40K i had 14psi when good now i get only 10psi at full revs so the apex seals are on the way out im guessing plus like all the rest have said thrash the hell out of it with poor oil or red hot and not letting it cool and switching off the engine kills everything basicaly treat it like a turbo nice warm ups and long cool downs most of the time 2 miles before i get home its very careful driving not high revs and lots of coasting letting the oil cool to 100degs C on the MFA before i turn the engine off and the same in reverse i let the oil get to 100degs C before giving it serious beans and when i mean beans its getting the whole can lol just cant beat that noise on full chat sunny day windows open stereo OFF cheers stu ..

dammm looking at the pictures i take its a dash out job due to having to totally remove the heater box to actual get to the heater matrix was kinda hoping not to go that deep as no garage and its all outside i thinking im waiting to summer then can i ask the wise on here if i switch the controls to cold am i right in saying this totally switches off the water to the matrix hence not much chance of it leaking into the carpet ???? cheers stu ..

hi people as the title says i get smoke well im guessing steam vapour in the cabin when i use the heater on hot so im guessing its a matrix leaking ???or the on off valve if i switch to cold it doesnt blow steam into the cabin only on hot !! has anyone had this before and can confirm its the heater matrix plus is it much of a job to do or is it a dash off job ?? cheers stu ..

i have the same problem works fine on start up then after about 30 sec everything dies ive put mine down to damp as its fine in the summer ive got the car sorn for the last 2 years so its only to be expeceted i guess going to try and take the speedo cluster out and leave it in the house to dry out then refit
