Well, I've done it!!! Imso happy!!! I managed to feel with one finger from the inside of the car between the door and the body by pushing against the seal where the latch was. It is inline with the door car upper screw bracket. I then jammed a pointed screw driver thing that looks like a giant tooth pick into it and wiggle it quite aggressively. This opened it part way which then allowed me to see and do it again. I've now fitted a new one and fully greased it up before it went on just incase! I'm not sure what is broken on the old one as it works most of the time now it's off the car. I can't tell You how happy I am! This feeling is exactly what owning an older car is all about!!! Nope, it's not the levers. They will not open it. I tried it anyway with no luck. Has anyone got a photo of a standard latch in closed postion? The one on the driversdoor is aftermarket Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

I've partially removed the door card and can pull the internal opening rod but it's still not opening. I've tried pushing the lever down with a screwdriver. It still won't open. It's as though this spring is broken on the old latch... Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

I think I have got to release the hatch from the tiny gap between the door and body on the inside but it's so hard to feel where to try and press Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

Easypops - all that works fine. It still won't disengage from the striker

The latch that goes over the striker does not appear to be lifting there is mention in the internal door rod and on the handle. I can See the handle is pushing the lock and unlock lever correctly. How do I upload photos?! There used To be anattatch image option years ago.

Has anyone got any ideas on how to open the door when the lock/latch has jammed onto the door striker?? I've got my door card off from the inside and pulled the rod. It Has a positive open feel but the door won't physically open. I've removed the outside window trim and I can see the door handle pushing the latch downalthough it feels it gets jammed sometimes. Im stuck and The car now looks like someone has tried to break in!... oh wait , I have!!

I've took the handle out its all intact. The central locking cable had got caught somewhere so straightened that out but it still won't work. Gggrrrr

Hi guys, I've not posted in a while due to having two children but I'm hoping someone might be able to help.... Today, after 6 years on and off of trying to fit my passenger door pin and central locking rod to the damn lock connector I finally succeeded. However, after putting my door card back together my outside handle will not open The door. The inside one works thankfully but not the outside. I have took the lock off the side of the door and I can see the rods are all still attatched to the handle and they both go up and down when I lock and open the handle when the latch is not connected. The latch/ lick mechanism works fine when I press it with my fingers so I'm a bit stumped. Any suggestions?!

Is the inner larger tailgate trim in great condition with no scuffs? Plus, do you have the little screw clips that hold it on? Plus, if no one else has had them, can I have the triangle seat belt top covers please.

Haha! I would but I don't think they would clear my standard arches and I don't want to modify the arches. Out of curiosity..... do they clear the rear arches without needed rolling etc? Thanks

Take the door card off and check the electric cable that runs to to the solenoid for breaks. You should take some of the black tape off that's wrapped around it. It's common for the cable to deteriorate over time dispute it being inside tape.
