The fuel pipe has inally been fixed after much agro with petrol pouring out. I can now drive her again!! I have now bought some FK wheel adapters and fitted my new Brock B2's. I love them!!! Also been preparing it for the bodyshop next week. I will be having the arches flaired to fit the wheels in, having the rear wiper smoothed and the 'corrado' badge holes removed/smoothed. As well as the whole rear and offside resprayed. So excited. Plus, I have some FK highsport coilovers to fit!!
-
Again, I have tryed to search this but it is just mentioned about the VR6 Corrado. Will Golf GTI /non vr6 coilovers fit a Corrado 16v?
-
Just incase anyone else looks into getting fk ak pro street coilovers - I have contacted venom and been told that the ak streets are not made in house and are instead bout from china. They are the same as the JOMs but have slightly better dampeners. Sending them back on monday.
-
Has anyone got FK street coilovers? If so, do they hav any kind of part number or anything on them? As I have today recieved a brand new set and there is not one part number or anything on them that suggest they are fk ones. Also, if they are TUV approved or have 1 year garentee should they have a certificate or any kind of paperwork? To me they look exactly like JOM ones.

I have now bought some BRock B2 alloy wheels. 7.5 16 on the front and 9 x 16 on the rear. However, I have got to wait for my wheel adapters to arrive before I can fit them! Should be Friday. So excited! Also, my fuel pipe and corroded to such a state where fuel pours from it when the car is running. I have tryed to fix it myself but the bolts are seized on too much so I have got to wait for my boyfriends strength tomorrow! I have removed my rear badges and I am part way through removing my rear wiper as the Corrado is going in the bodyshop on April 13th to have the whole Offside resprayed, the rear sprayed with the 'corrado' holes smoothed out. The rear wiper hole will be smoothes out and the arches will all be flared to be able to fit my new wheels in!! :D :D :D

I have searched this topic and it mentions about vr6's but not 16v's. Would I need to chage the front springs as on a vr6 or would they be alright? Plus, will the damping be the same?
-
Thanks for all the advise. The Corrado is sat on the drive and will be until I fix it. colinstubbs - I have rung VW and they have quoted £27 plus vat!!! - extortion!!!! But I am not sure where else to get one from so i guess i best order it!
-
That is brilliant, thankyou. I was not aware of that website - it is a stroke of genius!! Does anyone know if i will have to drain the fuel tank to change the pipe?!
-
Today when i moved the Corrado out of the garage i notices a large wet patch on the floor where my rear fuel pump would be. I checked under the car and sure enough there was fuel dripping from one of the pipes. However, I don't know what the pipe is called and where i can get a replacement from? When i started the car it literally started pouring out! I need to fix this myself as well. It looks as though the previous owner has fixed half of it but not the other half. I have had a right girlly moment these 6 months as well - I had an advisory on my MOT for excessive fuel pipe corrosion - I thought it ment ones in my engine - oh well! So, what pipe is this and where can i get one from? Will I need to drain my fuel before i replace it?! :help:
-
Also, will the 16v rear calipers fit the vr6 rear discs or do i have to buy new calipers too?
-
Can i just ask, do i need rear hubs as well? As surely they will be just 4 stud as well once the rear discs are changed?
-
ignore me, i have found the original thread! :D
-
Sorry, just contemplating this myself. I want to do it the cheapest way possible! So, if i.... press out the 4stud flange from existing hub, then press in the 5 stud flange and re-drill the 256mm 4 stud discs to 5stud and et some 5 stud cv joints. That will be it for the front? For the back, it will just be a case of ftting vr6 discs?- will my current 16c calipers fit them alright?
-
Pus, I have tryed to research this in the search section but it only refers to VR6's not 16v's and I understand VR6'S have different tracks.
-
I am looking to get some new wheels and i have seen some on ebay that i like. However, the sizes and offsets are... 16 x 9J ET 15 16 x 7,5J ET 35 Will those offsets be ok, or, is it advisable to have ET35 all round? I have never had 9 inch wide wheels before so i am not sure.
-
FK Debadged front grill and bonnet bra added. Also fitted a genuine corrado handbrake gaiter and silv er tax disc holder.
-
I got the strut brace from the forum group buy. I think you can still get them from the Edition 38 forum. I went for the easy option and bought the rocker and inlet polished, but I am going to have a go at polishing other bits in my engin :) Thanks Bruny, I am glad you are happy with them!
-
Love those wheels! I always find it great how amazing the corrado looks when fitted with wide wheels and coilovers.
-
Yes I am, but there is always more i want to do! I would love some real BBS LM's, Just need a money making scheme! I am hoping to win the lotto soon! I would love to put a TT dash in or a massive engine but because it has already been done - amazingly done at that! I have decided to just stick with standard. Standard dash, standard engine, but i want to completely recondition my engine and just get the Corrado looking clean and tidy. Plenty more to do yet.
-
I am absolutely shocked and amazed! Hats off to you! Your Corrado will be pretty amazing once it is done, it is looking amazing so far! Like many others, i wish i had the room and knowledge to do some of the things you have done so far. :)

It all started 5 years ago. I bought a Corrado VR6 and i loved it. It handled like a dream and it looked beautiful. However, the oil stem seals went on it and i was quoted over £2500 to get it fixed by several companies including AWESOME GTI. So, i thought i would just part ex it in for a new car instead, which was a big mistake! Since then i have owned quite a few cars including a 500bhp Supra which was amazing...... but, still in the back of my mind all i could think about was the class, style and charachter the Corrado has. So, in January 2008 i began looking for a project Corrado. ideally wanted a VR6 or G60 but couldn't find any in my price range. I did find a lovely 1994 16v in the blackberry colour which i desired. She was advertised as spares and repair, had 9 previous owners and had done at that time 172000 miles. I loved her!! I drove her home 300 miles from wales with my RAC card to hand in case she broke down, but she didn't! She ran a little rough, was covered in rust, with accident scares and different colour panels, but non of that bothered me. I was so proud to be driving my Corrado! ....... In the past year i have done many little things, including new isv, new lamba sensor, re wired all the audio electrics, new light switch. Plus, clear side repeaters and red rear lights. I have also fitted all black plastic trims inside( apart from the dash board), fitted a heated leather interior(although i still need the looms), new steering wheel, new BBS LM wheels and tyres, had the majority of it fixed and resprayed, including having a new arch made as mine had gone completely rotten! Polished inlet manifold and rocker cover and all the bits that needed doing to get it road worthy to pass the MOT.I am sure many more bits i have missed. I have been using my Corrado as a daily driver for the past few months but she is now off road as I have many more plans that i am sure many of you have already done, such as coilovers, finish getting the bodywork to A1 condition, some plans for the boot, de clutter the engine and get it all polished or chrome plated. Plus, find and fit the heated seat looms and fit my black dash board. I am sure there are many other things that i have forgot! But, i will keep you updated. I would love her to be a proper show car one day, but we will see. I can not seem to find any decent pictures at the moment on this computer but i will update more shortly with a full list of everything that has been done so far....

I have had my keyring now for about 6 months. It is on my keychain with my daily driver keys and it is stil going strong. It has never come off, never chipped or anything, it is one of the best purchases i have made! Plus, it is such a great representation of the Corrado! Definately recogmend these keyrings!
