So, can you just confirm how much it would be to have the whole roof lining with a sunroof and visors all to be retrimed in black? -

I have now fixed the heaters! I took the dash apart again and it turns out i hadn't clipped the blue heater wire to the unit, causing the cable to move but not inside the sleeve like it should. :) I will now be toasty warm in winter with a defrosted window screen!!! My new cap arrives toorrow so once that is on i will see if it solves my overflow problem.

I have taken the black plastic cover off the side of the coolant bottle and the coolant is coming out of that overflow/breather hole. So, i have ordered a new cap and hopefully it'll be sorted! Thanks for the advice. -
Thats a great help thankyou, i am going to ring the scrappy now to see if he has one i can have.

It is a 16v. It appears wet around the base of the coolant bottle and below surrounding area but when water is dripping under the car there is no apparent place in the engine bay it is coming from. I had the same thing happen on a VR6 years ago but cant for the life of me remeber what it was in the end!! -
I have coolant leaking, well pouring out, but only when i turn my engine off. If the engine is on for a few minutes only a little comes out but if i go for a drive as soon as i turn it off alot of water comes out. I have tryed to see where it is coming from but i cant see. It looks like it is dripping from the n/s of underneath the car inline with the passenger door. The car runs perfectly fine otherwise apart from my heaters have stopped working also. I thought my heater matrix but my footwells are not wet at all and the water only leaks when the car has just been turned off. Has anyone any suggestions? :help:

Is this coincidence with the heaters not working as well?!

When i bought my Corrado the heaters were on hot all the time, even when the dial was turned to cold the heaters still blew hot, burning hot infact! I took the dials out and found the heater arm had snapped off and as it was summer i moved the temperature change wire to cold position and it began to blow cool. I then bought another temperature dial unit and replaced it. Now, the heaters only blow cold all the time, even when the dial is turned to hot. I have connected it all up properly and with winter approaching i am worried ill be absolutely freezing at 4am on the way to work! When i start the car with the fans on there is a sqealing noise coming from behind the glove box. I suspect the heater matrix possibly? I have scoured the forum and ebay but can't seem to find any heater matrix faliure symptoms. Can anyone help or maybe suggest what the problem might be? Also, the new heater dials i have fitted had a fourth arm an which looks from the fan speed dial, i havn't connected anything to this but the fan speeds still work. :help:

Does anyone know where i can get a set of fairly cheap rover cover and inlet manifold gaskets for a 2l 16v? and how much i should expect to pay for them plus labour?!
-
Yep, going to change the earth wire and a fuse is a good idea, won't be done for a few days though, ill update once it's done. Thanks again
-
The switch itself illuminates when the lights are off but when i turn them on the switch light goes off. Also when you slightly push the circle light emblem on the button the light goes off. I have put a post on for a second hand one.
-
Yep the headlamps and taillights work fine. I will replace the switch then and the wire and see if that helps. Thankyou :)

I have just been searching through posts and found that the dash lights are the third fuse along not number 21 which i thought and sure enough that is broke. Could the earth wire have broke it though? This is the first time i have really tackelled car electrics so sorry for the questions.

I have been trying to sort out why my dash lights and headunit have not been working. I managed to sort out the headunit but my dash lights still wouldnt work, so i have taken my dimmer switch and light switch out and i have found a completely fryed earth wire, well i assume its the earth wire as it used to have a brown sheath over it and now that has been fryed onto the other wires a bit. It is fryed right down to the end and then just dangles around my fuse box. Could this be why i have no dash lights? my headlamps/taillamps work fine. Should i put a new wire in or will this one be ok to just re-earthed to the bodywork? And now i pushed my headunit into its place and that wont work now, grrrrrr!!!

Hi guys My car has failed the mot on rear brakes- well especially on the rear o/s brake caliper. The handbrake ratchet is pushed too far back apparently. What options do i have other than buy a new/refurbed caliper? Is there a better value upgrade kit for rear calipers or anything? If anyone could help asap that would be great as im running out of time!

I have just got one from a vr6 and put it on my 1994 16v and it works just fine

Has anyone fitted early electric mirror adjusters to a late car? I have tryed searching for it but i can only find information on it early to late. I ask because i have been on the search for late leather door cards for months and had no luck so i have got some early door cards, however, they have the early electric mirror switch and of course the connectors are different. Or, does anyone know if i can fir the late adjusters into the door card or will they not fit due to where they are located on the original cards? Thanks
