  1. Don't they just pull up? There are no screws or anything, you just have to pull the base/bum bit up quite hard, especially on the side closest the footwell.
  2. Would that make them harder to fit?
  3. Looks great, Looks really smooth ad clean. What is the interior like?
  4. Does anyone know what the difference is between the early and late front seat subframes? Is it anything to do with the way they actually connect to the car?
  5. I have been curious about this for a while but could never find a new scirroco being broken. Do they not have airbags in them?
  6. Can anyone give me advice on what has to be done to standard Corrado subframes to make porsche seats fit? I know it has been done quite a bit but no matter what I put in the search, I cannot find any- how to do its. If I have recaro Corrado subframes would the seats fit straight in, or would they need modifying also?
  7. Absolutely love that colour!!!!! :salute:
  8. Read your original Corrado thread an it was extremely impressive, so looking forward to what happens with this one. :D
  9. Wow, great progress! Good to see you are feeling positive again :D Wish I had a garage as big as yours!!!! Good luck with getting her ready for the MOT.
  10. Absolutely gorgus Corrado! Was great to see it at Tatton park. I was really impressed with all the work carried out on it and to such a high standard. So envious of your engine!!!! :D Gave me loads of ideas!!!!
  11. If you are talking about the cat back through pipes it was £125 fitted. If you are on about the back box, it was £10 off ebay! :D Got lots of cleaning to do for Tatton Park this weekend!
  12. Good luck with fitting all that :) . Well done with keeping it going :salute: . You are as bad as me for buying bits you can't afford!!!
  13. I completely agree! They are gorgeous, but, I can't afford them!
  14. I still prefer the all red rears at the mo. Alternator is finally on!
  15. It has been a while since I have been on this thread, so I can't quite remember everything I have done so far! I have now replaced my passenger side window as my original was completely scratched up with grit that had got in the seals. I have fitted a late indicator stalk to match my late wiper stalk! All locks and latches have now just about been replaced with chrome ones. door strikers For the past few weeks I have on and off been cleaning my engine bay, replacing bits of the engine bay with either polished or chrome bits, or just new screws and bolts as my originals were rusted on! Oh, and I have painted my letters black with heat resistant engine paint :) polished air horn compreesor up a bit and had bracket chrome plated - not very good pic, sorry! Some of the bits I have had plated.. Battery clamp- needs a detaled clean down there! Clened all under where alternator was Engine hoist and alternator bracket fitted My letters, which I am well chuffed with! Today I have hit a bit of a stop with fitting my alternator though as I cannot get the collar to budge on the arm, but I have soaked it in wd40 and will try again in a bit! Still got loads to do to the engine bay. Just a little at a time though. And I really think I have developed a hernia from trying to undo a bolt! :pale:
  16. Finally got round to reading this thread! Wow! It's great to see the pictures. Such an overwelmingly impressive amount of work in such a short space of time! Hats off to you she looks amazing! Love all the attention to detail, such as detail cleaning and spraying inside the arches. I am SO envious!
  17. Brilliant thankyou. I have tryed searching with the search bar but I couldn't find it. I also tryed getting to it via my favourites but again wouldn't work. Thanks again.
  18. Thankyou for your replies. It being the lhd one makes sense now as it has never really fit properly as you can see. I just want something to cover up the gap as it's a bit grotty!! I'm not entirely keen on the SWG one but I will have a think about it.
  19. I was just wondering if a center scuttle ( don't know if that is the correct name for it) cover was ever made. I have attatched a picture of my egine with the 2 covers either side on. It is the bit that covers the thick red gap I am curious about. :confused4:
  20. Do we know when it'll be up and running yet? As I miss the 16v tuning guide along with many other articles!
  21. Thankyou. Is the ABS pump the black cylinder on it's own or the whole meatl bit contected to it and the black cylinder? or is the distribution block the bit underneath with all the rusty plugs? Is the oil cooler the black cylinder and the big metal bit the mount?
  22. Im just learning about engines and wondered if anyone could tell me what these bits pictured are? Sorry if they are obvious things, but as I say, I am just learning! Oh and it is just the rusty looking metal bits I am after the names of!
  23. Yep, Managed to pull the little suckers off. However, I did cut my hand and on removal of the window glass I smaked myself in the nose with the glass when I pulled it from the door!
  24. Iam in the process of removing my passenger window glass. I have taken the door card off and undone the two bolts in the middle. However, I cannot get the white runner roller things off the bottom of the glass. I have tryed pulling them, bu I am scared of braking the metal arm. I have trayed to see if I can slip them out either end , but they do not go far enough. Any suggestions??
