  1. OMG! How clean is your engine!!! Looks amazing! :D
  2. The coilovers have now been fitted. It doesn't look much lower to me at the minute but the ride is alot firmer. I am definately going to drop the rear more but Something definately needs doing with the front arches! I am going to see if giving it a little positive camber will help. Need her spraying!!
  3. Well, it gets worse! The got the rear coilovers fitted, in the process my McGard locking key broke off a bit. When attempting to take the front wheels off with the key via hand wrench the key completely broke and the front nuts which are still holding my wheels on have parts snapped off them and are cracking all over. The car has now had to go up on ramps and have the fronts changed from underneath. Which is taking a really long time! I have complained to halfrauds who have ordered a replacement key which will hopefully remove my front nuts, if not they will have to get them off with a drill. They will also be refunding my whole nut set once they are all off. I am not using McGard locking wheel nuts again!!!! I don't think I will have time to get the Corrado back to the bodyshop today either :(
  4. Well I have her back temporarily. Well, for 5 hours or so just while the coilovers go on! I think she looks great. Everyone as starring on my way home-I think it was more to do with the two tone effect than the widder arches! The rear has been completely smoothed off now, just need the finishing prep to be done plus the rear bumper. I really hope I have it back by next week as it's mot time!
  5. Looking good!!!! :D The shell looks great. It'll be great to see what results you get. Will you be able to weigh it? I would be intresting to know how much weight you have lost.
  6. Well, the ar is still at the bodyshop. I am hoping It will be ready for monday night but I doubt it. The offside arch has now been welded on though and should be shaped/smoothed shortly. In the meantime I am on th prowl for a satnav like mort1414!! :D
  7. OMG! I would be calling the fire brigade!! haha! Great results though. I have got to do this throughout the winter months so going to keep a watch on your results. Looks great though.
  8. You can't sell it just because of the head gasket!!They go on each car at some point and every 20-30,000 miles on fiats!! :D Get it changed and keep it!!! :)
  9. Does it play dvd's? I think this is a great Mod that we will see in alot of Corrados now!! :D :D
  10. I'm loving that screen, what else have you taken out other than the radio - my Corrado is still in the bodyshop so I can't go and have a look. Loving those calipers as well :D
  11. Thankyou for all the nice comments! As for the tyres, The MOT examiner said nothing about the tyres themselves, just about the arches. Saying that the Corrado goes in for its MOT in the next couple of weeks so I will update you then. I hope not as I don't want to have to buy more tyres and I think stretched tyres look great! herisites - I actually took your car as inspiration and had it as a screen saver on my phone as I loved the wheels so much! I went to the bodyshop today, It definately will not be ready for today as hoped and possibly not Friday. I have told them I need it back on Monday though as te coilovers are going on on tuesday then the MOT is being done.
  12. Brilliant! Well done! I bet everyone else was gutted! It will be something you reminisce about for decades to come! Somehing to tell yur grandchildren!
  13. Love the bay!!!!! That is what I want to do next year. Looks great as does the servo. :D
  14. When you had your front arches rolled flat, did it cause any paint work damage? Where did you get it done?
  15. Wow!! That is great, I can't wait for my friends to see a Corrado on tv as they think I'm a bit looney spending so much time on mine. Yours looks great, maybe this has been covered in previous threads but how did you manage to get to do the shoot?
  16. Sorry to hear that. Hope it is a cheap and easy fix. Good luck.
  17. I just wanted something a bit different :) Always having wide wheels doesn't bother me as there are so many great wide wheels out there, although the price of the tyres might!
  18. Sorry to hear about that. Is the car still missing? I'm a Traffic Officer on the M1 in the East Mids, I will get my crew to keep an eye out for it as they always look for Corrados for me anyway. Good luck. Would you want it back if it was found as it was taken?
  19. Thanks guys, I suppose that is the best way to look at it - that they have found it while work is being done and at least it will be gone. I have been having sleepless nights because I am so excited about getting it back! It is still on for Tuesday to be picked up apparently.I would like to pop in on Monday to take more pictures but I am at work all day, hopefully the bodyshop will send me some pics to my mobile. Pictures when I collect it will be posted staight away! :D :D :D
  20. Everytime I rwad an update on this post I am so shocked, amazed and totally envious! Your Corrado is amazing and like others have said if only we could all do that work on our cars. You are very lucky and keep up the good work. The only way to describe this whole thread, corrado and the work you have put in............Brilliance and perfection!
  21. Love the blue but the styling is a little extreme for me!
  22. The bodyshop have sent me this picture today. Turns out the majority of my nearside is rotten. Apparently the arch and sill was just falling appart. They said it was due to bad repairs in the past. I am absolutely gutted. They are going to dig it all out and re-weld it all. I am really worried though as throughout the winter months I am detail cleaning underneath and I feel it is all going to fall apart as I am trying to scrub it clean!
