  1. Yep, they are my definate second choice. For me, the all red rears are still my favourite :)
  2. I like the red rears. I don't like the orange on the standards and think the clear and smoked would stand out to much. I feel the all reds keep a kind of standard look about them. The only others I would consider is the red and half grey rears. As for doing so much in a year and half, we're hoping to get married and start a family soon, so doing what i can while i can afford it!
  3. Sorry to hear that. Hope they don't write it off for you. Don't mean to rub salt in the wound but, how did you get over speed bumps being so low?
  4. Was great to meet you at BVF. Just read your thread, Your car and engine bay is sooo impressive. :notworthy:
  5. I have complete respect for you, :salute: not only for advebturing out your comfort zone and cracking on but doing things in such detail. I would love to be doing what your doing with your engine, but I'd have no idea where to start. Keep up the good work!! Don't loose faith or enthusiasm.
  6. Well, now you're asking! I bought the car for about £500. Spent a good couple of thousand on her so far, maybe a bit more, but everything just about has been off ebay or this forum. I have tryed to do everything as cheap as possible, waiting for certain things to come up for sale. Some things I have waited over a year for. Plus, when I sold my original parts I made quite a bit of money back. Although, sometimes I am too much of a skank and end up loosing out becuase I am trying to save too much money! :brickwall:
  7. On second thoughts, how much do you think it's worth? It has recently been reconditioned and not been fitted since, also had the red bit now paintd blackberry.
  8. Hmmm. Well it looks real nice so i think we will take mine off on friday and see if some how it'll fit. Does anyone know if the pulley width or rear electrical connectors are different?
  9. It's ok Toad, after seing the pictures and hearing the stories i understand! Mate is perfectly fine! :) As for being done fast i have had her for over a year and half and still so much to do!
  10. what makes it not fit though? Is it the brackets or the connectors? Or both?
  11. I had a similar problem and it was my fuel pipe that had corroded. I replaced it, but then one of the bolts was slightly loose and that caused a large leak also when the car was turned on and stopped once turned off.
  12. I have researched on the forum and cannot find whether the G60 and 16v alterbator fit the same? As I think I have bought a G60 alternator but only have a 16v. I don't know if anyone can tell by the pic? If they are different mountings, what will I need to fit this one and will it be complicated??!
  13. Was nice to meet you too and see your immaculate Corrado! thats a shame i was going to ask for some more info on who did it for you im not after the "wide ass" but i suppose a company who nows what a corrado is would be a bonus as the last 2 i rang have never heard of them  You are welcome to come and have a look at the problems, to be honest I will probably post pics up on here soon. I have now been to East Midlands Coachworks down the road and they have very reasonable prices and seen to know what they are on about. They are respraying a Corrado in a few weeks and are going to ring me to go down and have a look at their work once it is done. I can get you their number/ address if that is any help? My shiney reconditioned alternator has arrived so that is going on at the weekend!! :D
  14. I wouldn't recogmend the bodyshop who did mine though, as I say, loads of problems with the spraying and carelessness! :( Thankyou! :) I would definately recogmend it. You need a toothbrush and cloth with it, oh, and lots of arm muscle!
  15. Looks great!! You are quite the trimmer! Wish I could afford to restore my Corrado like that.
  16. HAHA!! Yes we saw the scirocco, it was so cool!! Really put a smile on our faces :) Really miffed off at the minute. When the car had all its work done at the bodyshop there were little imperfections which really wound me up. So, I took it back time after time with lists of what was wrong and nothing was done. Well, a few bits were done but not up to standard. Today, it is there for the 8th time to have these bits fixed and when I took it in this morning they just havn't the time of day for me or the car. So, I am giving up with them. I have just been to the coachworks down the road and they are going to have a look at it later for me. I would have thought if a bodyshop had spent so much time and a customer so much money on a car they would want to do the work properly. Obviously I was wrong. I think the main problem is they are now the only bodyshop for a local car supermarket and they are just getting so much work in from them. GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! For this weekend I will have to put up with the anoying bits of paintwork, but they WILL be fixed!! :bad-words:
  17. Done it! You was right, just needed a bit of force! Thanks
  18. Ill get pic, but it is the central locking lock rod the is attatched to the long arm of the boot lock. It has a white plastic plug like clip holding it in I think.
  19. I am just in the process of fitting chrome locks and I cannot get the boot lock rod off?? I have tryed gently pulling it but I don't want to break it. Any ideas???
  20. Where can I get a chap single 7.5 x 16 Brock B2 alloy wheel with polished lip in 5 x 100 to fit a Corrado?
  21. Thankyou!!! I have no idea what backbox it is. You will never believe it but I bought it for £10 off ebay! It is like new. It has no marks on it though that say what brand it is, but I love it! Where we live there are millions of speed bumps and our drive is on a hill, luckily it doesn't bang, but it does mean I cannot lower the car any more :(
  22. Finally finished the bonnet, sorry for the late replies. The solution I have used is called HG Sticker Remover, available from DIY shops. I have used just the one bottle but I need another to detail it. Also fitted new wing mirror glass and polished strut tops as well as the plated wheel bolts. I also have a new near side door rubber tha will go on tomorrow. There is still so much to do though!!
  23. Loe the interior and the exterior, but loving that roof!! Where did you get it done??
  24. OMG! Absolutely gutting. Like veryone says - the main thing is that you are ok. It's a sad loss of a beautifull C. :(
  25. Wow, I hate you!!! I love Evo's, could never afford one though! Really does look great. You lucky sod!! :salute: Bit of a boring question but what's the MPG on it?!
