Its got most history, but not sure its been that well looked after. I paid less than £4k though, so was expecting to add some to it. If you have got them I could do with them asap mate, let me know ;)

Its getting MOT'd on Thursday, so I'll wait for them to tell me whats wrong, and then source the parts. Had a look at the drop links today and there is a fair amount of play in them, not sure how much theres supposed to be though??

Woohoo!!! Ive got it sussed!!! Swapped the MAF from my Corrado (4motion engine) over to the golf and hey presto, it works!!! It was the MAF fault code at the bottom of my readings all along. You going to Ultimate Paul? If so you can swap my MAF over to see if it works.

Not sure mate, thats why Im asking. Hoping to get some new shocks from Coxy, so wondering what else to change at the same time? I'll do the top mounts, but what else?

Sorry for posting golf stuff on here, but it seems that this is where Im still getting the most answers 8) So youre all your own worst enemy :lol: Anyway, Had some knocking and light understeer on the 4mo. Initially thought it was the wishbones knackered, so changed them and the bal joints last week. They were all fooked!! However, it doesnt seem to have cured the knocking - Only happens on rough roads or on potholes/speed bumps etc. Also, it feels really light at certain points when turning, especially at low speeds. When I hit a drain or the like it feels really light and pulls to the side a bit too. The car has 130k, and I reckon most of the suspension parts have too. Any ideas where to go next?

Looks similar to mine mate. I'll change my MAF over tomorrow and see what happens. I'll let you know how I get on. If you manage to get anywhere with yours, let me know.

I cleared them all last week before doing the coil pack and plugs/leads. Apparently a guy on mkiv's had similar problems and it was his maf. I may swap mine over??

Any ideas? The engine was NOT running at the time. Im thinking the coil pack is fooked, but would that cause all the symptoms? Or is it more MAF/Lambda related? Either way I can swap the ones from my C for invest. Where do i start? Ive got Tesco 99Ron in mine at the moment, filled up on Tuesday I think, but its running fine. Fingers crossed!!!

Ive changed them already, theyre fooked!!! Running loads better now. Supercharged I dried the coil pack out for a couple of days then sealed it with silicone and its fine.

Still cant decide, think I need to see it from front side on ;)

Well I sealed the coil pack, and it improved it but it still wasnt right. Today I bought some new plugs and leads, and it seems to be fine now. have a look at the plugs. The car has 130k, I wonder if theyve ever been changed????!!!!

Anyone know any chroming places? Thinking of getting some bits done. Cheers ;)
