i'd say they were standard with the orange sides tinted fully black and the rear orange just slightly tinted black.

i found my 17" 7.5 bbs rc's a much improved ride over my 16" 7.5 avez a copy's, i'm guessing my copy wheels are very heavy. might be the difference between khumo and bridgestone tyres aswell.

I bought my 1.8 16v corrado about six years ago now, it's the only car i have ever owned, and i still can't find another that i would be happy replacing it with. having done 130,000 miles the car was in need of some tlc. With a constant five year run of one problem after the next, this car has had pretty much everything replaced, with only 15,000 added to the clock. some of the things added so far weitec coilovers (damping/height) jetex system (hate it) leather recaro (mj retrim) diamond metallic respray (3 years ago) bbs rc's lots of other things added too 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfradointerior.jpg[/attachment:c4lx0vo0] corrado angeleyes.jpg[/attachment:c4lx0vo0]

lovely, just ordered those rear lights for my silver rado, think i might have made the right choice. i didn't think those wheels would suit a corrado, but i was wrong. those in.pro fogs and indicators seem to suit a silver rado too.

Buy my 20vt for 3500, sell yours one and put saved money in my car and you will get very mint corrado for lowest price than yours conversion. where is your car so i can have a look? to be honest i really want to do it to my car, it's my first car and i'm quite attatched to it, it used to be a bit of a shed, now it just needs engine and brakes and i will be finished (so i tell myself) i really like the diamond metallic colour and i prefer the dash and front end of the early corrado.
-
i'm lookin at getting the 20vt conversion done to my 1.816v corrado, where are the best places to take my car for this conversion? and what price would i expect to pay for it? i'd be looking to just drop it off and pick it up finished, i have seen £4750 quoted by tsr, i could almost get a tt or s3 for that price, is their anywhear more reasonable and recomended.
-
has to be the 1.8 16v surely, if your changing the engine anyway you might aswell get the cheapest corrado, i think it's the simplest swop anyway?
-
these euro ones look like a better option if you don't want to pay the ddi prices. http://www.corrado-teile.de/shop/advanc ... rado+sills

blue 16v or g60, a487? thru llannon, Aberystwyth to cardigan.

my advice would be look for any corrado as far under the 100k mile mark as you can afford. i bought my corrado 1.816v at 130k and have had to replace nearly everything serviceable on the car, i'm sure a vr6 would be the same. saying that, you could buy a higher miler thats had everything replaced already. (like a forum members) don't discount the 16valvers if their good ones, they have just as good feel good factor, and the performance is still decent, think golf gti compared to r32. personally I prefer the interior and the front end from the early cars, much sharper.

i had a bit of a go at this, i lost interest when they released the inpro lights, looking back at the pictures i wish i finished them off. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=39891&p=461329&hilit=a3+lights+on+a+corrado#p461329 that's my old profile, i lost my password, and the password reset didn't work

ye that has to be it, avez a wheels 17". That colour, those wheels and in wales has to be rare. Cross-Hands would be a sensible place to sell it from if you lived in the middle of nowhear like ffosstrasol or me. interesting wheel arch mod, have to keep an eye out for this.
-
did your car come from ffostrasol? (think it's spelled like that) near to aberaeron . i saw it advertised on e-bay, i recognize the colour and wheels. very close to where i live, was tempted to buy it myself. glad to see it went to a good home.

you can't go wrong with recaro's. another chance to show them off :)
-
yep that's the price quoted on ecp, although they have no stock, I'll have a go at finding a second hand one, but finding any corrado part in my area is a complete nightmare. Hopefully it will not be the wur. I'll have to wait till Friday to find out because my mechanics having a few nights off.
-
£270 quid for a new one! it would be wouldn't it.
-
cool, thanks, I'm sure we came to the conclusion that it can't be the csv now you mention it, I'm not sure how i got back to that! I'll let him know and see if he can do the tests. why are corrado problems constant and never simple??? I've already changed the starter and alternator with reconditioned items after a friends recommendation and they have both failed, so he's putting the old ones back on! :brickwall: my corrado's such a money grabbing bitch! but I'm not giving up.

lol, i'm not 100% sure mine is broken but it does have all the symptoms, it won't start unless it's bumped (not always true) and it runs fine once it's warm but up until then the revs go down under acceleration and it sometimes cuts out unless i floor it past about 2000revs. the cars with a vw trained mechanic (who has owned a few kr cars) at the moment who has checked most things. From reading on hear i guess it could be the ignition switch (although we tried another) or a burnt out ecu? god knows really, i think he's as baffled as i am, the fueling and spark are all fine. thanks, i'l take you up on the offer of the cold start valve if he thinks it's ok, he did mention that quite a few cars had the same part, and gsf website says it fits most 4cyl audi/vw. i'l ring him tonight and let you know
-
thanks again, good information, what it is, i'm looking at buying this to replace mine, the seller claims it's a mk3 2l 16v cold start valve/injector and he plugged it into a 1.8 16v corrado and it fits the electrical side of things, any ideas? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Mk3-GTI-2l-Col ... 286.c0.m14
-
nice one, much appreciated, does that mean the 9a one is different to the kr or are they interchangeable?
