Went for a drive in northumberland this afternoon because it was so sunny, and took a few snaps!

I like the smoothed front look that g60dan and flusted have, but they've been done with (i assume) OE bumpers so they still look right. In your case chance, a custom made bumper on an otherwise pretty standard car looks a bit odd. I recon with some rounded side-skirts to match the rounded bottom edge of your bumper, a big fat rear valance and some lowering at the back end (is it just me or does the front look dropped and the back standard :?:) you could pull it off. Still wouldnt be my cup of tea, but it wouldnt look half finished which IMO it does right now.

just thought I'd share a conversation I had with a young 'un at the weekend. I pulled up outside my house to be greated by two young lads on BMX's, I'd guess they were early teens. Geordie Young 'Un: haw mister! is the a turbo like? me: nope GYU: ah reet, so its slow then? me: no, not really.... GYU: why dont you get a turbo one? (at this point i considered educating him in the full corrado range, and how how the G60 works on the same sort of principle as a turbo would, but the NA vr6 was actually faster, but thought better of it) me: doesnt have to be a turbo to be fast you know, tell you what, start pedding, if i can run you over its fast enough.

oh FFS! 30/9/04!! its next month! that'll teach me not to check my tax disc with a hangover
-

My road tax expires today, and all the postoffices are shut :? I know they changed the rules recently, but do i still get a couple of weeks 'grace' to renew or has that gone now? I cant even ring the DVLA cos' their offices are closed! I also thought they were supposed to sed you a renewal letter, i've not had one!

:? must just be my eyes and lack of judgement! I find my C amazingly hard to get a good shot of, as good as ( i think) it looks in the flesh it always looks odd in photos. I think the pic in your sig does the ride-height more justice 8) 8) I retract my earlier statement your honour!

yum! looks tasty as fook mate! just needs dropping a bit to finish it off 8)

I suggested it'd be nice to have a way of viewing all of the images that were uploaded to the forum, reguardless of topic/section to andy a while back, and his (very valid) reason not to do it was basically down to bandwidth issues. i can see his point, I've a feeling a big gallery would be a well used feature and would eat andys bandwidth quite quickly. The alterantive is do what dave suggested and find a nice host with a nice fat pipe, unfortunatly they dont come cheap. I think on the scale of things I'd rather have a free forum than a paid for one with a gallery feature. just my 2p!

I cant tell you why, but I can tell you that on friday I saw a toyota campervan type thing with a lovely set of hubcap 'spinners'. Now thats what I call BLING! as with most things, they (AFAIK) started off in yankyland and made their way over here. I assume they're popular over there because they're more expensive, so rappers buy them, so wannabes buy them, so they become a 'trend' then they come over here and people want to be 'the first' to have them. I've seen a hummer over here with them on, its a funny effect on the eye cos it looks like the wheels arent turning when the cars moving, but when it stops they carry on! not my taste at all.

I've got red/smoked fk's and got through an MOT just fine 8)

that makes it a year older than me! I'm not as cool though :(
-
fat as f**k mate! those polo's have to be pretty rare now? old 's' reg?
-
mine varys between 11/12mpg and high 20's, although i think theres something wrong with it, becuase i still get about 350 miles from a tank. The day i picked it up on got 9mpg on the way home! I wondered if i'd done the right thing in buying it until i worked out the 'true' mpg figures
-
I was thinking the same thing, IIRC bally you got yours about the same time as i got mine....i've got some catching up to do!
-
cool, thanks, sounds simple enough! a weekend filled with tight nuts, gentle hammer love and rubber bungs. what more could a chap ask for? :D
-
can you give me a bit more info on the butt wiper plug you used? I assume it was a peice of cake to whip the wiper off and plug the hole? could be a job for the weekend! not wanting to copy you really, but that rear end looks so nice I've got to ditch my wiper and get me a new plate!
-
seriously bad-ass! looks better without the rear wiper mate, and that smalled rear reg plate makes quite a difference too! looking 8)
-
I guess it could depend on what stock they have in at the time, the one i have came from GSF about 8 months ago.
-
here you go jedi, think this pic shows it up quite well! I dont have one of the fittings, but like i said in the other post, its just been bonded to the slam panel with some white sticky stuff. (oh er!)

i'm 99.9% sure its the 'grille lip spoiler' listed under 'body and trim' part number 89534 I've got a vague memory of ringing them to check a 'grille lip spoiler' was the same as a 'eyebrow spoiler' and not something utterly odd.
-
any recomendations as to where to buy H&R's and Koni's? (preferably online cos i'm a lazy tw*t)
-
GSF do them for about £20 with P&P IIRC, thats where i got mine!
-
Heres mine, full custom jobby. I tried to stay as faithful as possible to the original shape because it fits the cutout on the bumper nicely. its higher than that now as on of the hangers was bent and eventually snapped after this pic was taken. does your exhaust hang low, does it wobble to and fro can you tie it in a knot can you tie it in a bow....... :( [/url]

or some quad high beams like they have on rally cars, instant daylight!
