  3. i would really love to see your car when its all done, the quality of build is mind blowing, no stone unturned and all that! awesome work :luvlove:
  4. Im not sure what the power is as ive yet to rolling road or dyno or anything like that, my boost gauge probably spikes to about 17-18psi then dips to about 15 then holds about 16ish.. this seems ok?
  5. just wanted to thank ed for selling me some light clusters. The description and delivery ect was spot on. sweet. cheers
  6. saw a few C's this weekend in Newquay as i was down there for a short break with friends! An awesome "red wine" Vr6 with highly pollished TT comps(?) at the show and shine for run to the sun on sunday....love it im sure you on here?? A very nice yellow g60 also at the show and shine, with 9" borbets A's all around and nice engine bay detailling. Thumbs up Last but not least a nice metalic blue one with reiger grill and stagered fittment borbet A's and a black leather interior....also at the show n shine Suffice to say all cars looked highly pollished and i noticed they were getting a lot of looks for an admiring public. i feel like a corrado spotter, lol ive even got pics. I must get out more
  7. i (well mainly my 2 mates with me helping) have done this conversion to my 2.016v on an M-reg. We did hear that the wiring was more dificult on the 2.016v than the earlier 1.816v. This is mainly due to that enigne loom being intergrated into the other loom inside the engine bay, having said that, we have managed to get every thing working on the corrado dash as it should, with only visual alterations to make the wiring look pretty left to do. Im sure if you did decide to do the 2.016v conversion, we would be able to point you in the right direction. A good website and an awesome company is Qpeng, they talk the conversion through on a golf on there website. Oh and you can use the 2.016v gearbox too. I would say in fairness allow more money than you think you will need, and try and stick to a known engine. I made the mistake of trusting some one about an engine and it cost me dearly.
  8. scince doing my conversion ive noticed that the boost spikes, drops down a bit and then settles. I run a qpeng, k03s and bigger injectors does this sound normal or do you think my actuator is faulty? Ive tried 2 boost controls valves and it appears the same on both unless they have the same fault? cheers Ollie
  9. this is awesome, i wish i could just bang out stuff like that manifold
  10. looking good mate, ive still gotta neaten up my loom! yours is looking sweet though
  11. i run 9's on the rear of mine, and i had to have the arch pulled in order to run the car nice and low.
  12. oh and are the calipers the same on the vr6 and g60 for sure? and if so will the vr6 calipers / carriers fit my car as i reckon my chance of finding g60 ones must be slimmer these days? Also is there any other cars that use these config? like a seat ibiza//mk3 gti or something? thanks again for the input my brakes suck with my new engine.
  13. great guys thanks very much! I need some of these in my life asap! does any one know any good places to start? for the carriers and calipers???? also although changing the subject some what does any one reccomend any particular pad? i was thinking some green stuff?
  14. As the thread says, wondered if any one had done this to their 16v? Is it alot better? and if some one could list every thing i need to do it? muchos appreciated! :help:
  15. any way moving on from all that the corrado is having its mot today, nervous times lol :norty:
  16. fair enough if thats the case, but im understandably going to be slightly hacked off with being around a grand out of pocket. I guess you pay your money - you take your chance. btw. old 20v engine with no compression is available if any wants it for any reason.
  17. Sorry no more videos as its still in need of a a bit of running etc. Hoping to get it on the strip at pod when reliable though, and maybe some road trips etc. I cant wait to get it back now! :luvlove:

  21. Hi just wondering if any one with a 2.016v 9a knows where the 2k plus low oil pressure switch is located on the cyl head. And also if they wouldnt mind having a look at what colour wire(s) go to it???? Its just i need to know this in order to finish off my 20vt wiring, and i didnt even know the 9a had two different switches until my dash started flashing and beeping above 2k with the 20vt enigne. doh any help would be most appreciated :luvlove: many thanks ollie :confused4:
  22. i know, its almost ready for MOT now. I am calling all 20.16v 9a owners out there to do me a big favour. If any one could look at the 2.5k onward low oil pressure switch on the cylinder head and tell me how many and what colour wires are used and also the rough location of the sensor i would be for ever grateful.... cheers Ollie :)
