  1. ok, FM reception was poo from the old radio, but assumed this was just cos it was a very cheap n nasty HU. anyway installed my swanky ALpine one and FM reception is still poor - albeit better than it was. The aerial connector looks like its been hacked at some point before though I think I've now got it connected up ok. I was wondering would the aerial on my car have an amp built in that I am now not sending any power to? its a 1990 valver. Cheers guys.
  2. ok, I guess it will be obvious if the cables are broken - i.e. are the cables visible and tuggable to feel the slack? I guess I could somehow manually set the flaps so that they are permanently set to windscreen vents as that is the most important....
  3. Hi, sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I could only find info relating to the later style direction controls. I have an early C so has the sliders for windscreen, footwell, dash etc. The slider moves between positions ok but I'm pretty sure the movement of it makes no difference whatsoever to where the air comes from. I think it is stuck on dash vents only. Not too much of a problem with summer coming as the windscreen is hopefully not often going to need clearing. The blower itself works at all speeds and gets warm ok. Any help gratefully received.
  4. cool. i think I might fit leccy windows to it at some point in the future as i do miss that luxury. still glad I haven't got a sunroof though - even if that is 'poverty spec'
  5. hi all, recently got myself a 1990 corrado. I was under the impression that all rados had electric windows and a sunroof - I have neither of these, is that common? Actually quite chuffed there's no sunroof as I understand that none of them work anyway! cheers
  6. well I shouldn't have that issue as I have manual windows. I've now managed to whip off the grilles and as I thought there are no speakers there. also there doesn't seem to be anything there to mount a speaker on to either. will it be just a case of screwing through the plastic or should there be something in there to mount the speaker to that is missing in my car?
  7. cool, i'll have a go at sliding them forwards - are there any clips I should be looking for while I do this. I'm pretty sure there are no speakers in there so guess I'll be running some speaker cable. Luckily I have set of 5.25" mids somewhere in the garage! oh and thanks for the swift replies! no doubt this is the first of many amny questions
  8. hi all just got myself a corrado on sunday! its a 1990 valver. i'm dub through and through but this is my first corrado so need some help. first thing i need to sort is some sounds - though with no radio I have been loving the sound of silence - this car doesn't rattle at all  question is how do you get at the speakers in the door cards - theres no sound coming out of them so am assuming they are either missing or disconnected. do I have to take the entire door card off to get at them or can I just take the speaker grille off? if i can take the grille off how do you do it cos I can't immediately see how its done and I don't want to force anything. thanks all!
