A momo steering wheel is a must! The best mod I've done to mine is slam it, I think. New wheels would make it look even better!
-
Them Polk Audio/Momo subs are supposed to be great bits of kit! You bagged a true bargain there!
-
Mine lives in the garage, luckily its a doube garage so there's quite a bit of room, even with my mum's Ibiza Cupra in there too. At our old house, we had carpet on the walls to protect the doors when they were opened.

Hello and welcome, nice to see another red G60 on here :) Nice car, what are your plans for it?

Have you tried Club Lupo for a solution? Perhaps its a common thing. http://www.clublupo.co.uk

I really didn't wanna do this but I have no choice - the Rado's becoming SORN for a while, after driving it for only 14 days! * Its running at 20mpg when I drive it, even if I drive it nicely. Also I swear the performance is down...I bet the charger wasn't rebult after all :( * Exhaust - it rattles more than, erm, a rattly thing. People stare at the car as I drive past! I'm hoping new rubbers will cure this, maybe some messing about with the heatshields! * Cooling - I get -25 degree windchill in the cabin, so it might need a new matrix. The rad fan is also dead. I've got a MK3 Golf fan to replace it with. Hopefully this will fit OK! * Paint - It needs the rear quarters spraying as there is lacquer peel and I have a spot of rust on the rear panel. My sprayer who's made a few well known dubs reckons about £500 to sort it...Its money I don't have :( * Wheels - I don't like them! I have some 16" tyres waiting for my Stroseks to be refurbed, but that too costs cash :( Normally I would just flash the cash and get it sorted, but I have a huge drain on me at the moment, because I'm buying a flat. At the moment I need all the money I can get, so I've even thought of partially breaking my Rado and selling the rest on or just get rid of it and lose a lot of money. I love this car to bits...I knew they were a money drain but its come at the worst time. Ugh! I think I might have to SORN it, run around in my cheaper Polo and reap the rewards of a nice insurance refund and a much higher fuel economy. I can then gradually save up after I've blown my wages on Ikea to rebuild the Corrado slowly but surely. This seems like such a pointless thread now, I just need to share my pain to you all. Any Agony Aunts, get in touch ;)

I paid the extra for my car knowing that the Recaros were worth something. I might have to sell them though if the car continues to be a moneypit :(
-
I went last year, I had a great time! (well until my brake caliper seized!) I'd go again this year but I really won't have the cash. Damn houses! :(
-
So there's no answer as to how much they're worth then?

Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive February 06]
Tom B replied to mistrall's topic in General Car Chat
Over the course of the weekend, I have seen: G***PGK - Red 16v on G60 rims. It used to be my mate James's C, but its now owned by someone else. Saw it behind the Pennywhistle on Friday night, on the A43 at Weston Favell Saturday at 1:20 and outside the Soundhaus on Saturday night, next to what looked like a green 2.0 16v (it was dark!) Today I saw an M reg VR6 go through the Arc carwash by Ikea in Bletchley, the car looked very nice but it was dark so colour not really known. It was a dark colour though. -
I have Terry Wogan on in the mornings, then I put the iPod on shuffle and play songs from that. Most of the stuff on my iPod is comedy, all the rest is all sorts of rock stuff. If its the weekend, I like to listen to Jonathon Ross, he's a damn good DJ!
-
He did also think that. He wasn't sure if it would be running rich or lean for it to do that. He's a panel beater and by his own admission he's no mechanic, but he was on the right lines :) Thanks Supercharged! :D Has anyone else got any alternative ideas? We may as well work out all eventualities!

My mate has a Golf with a Rado G60 conversion in it. He's found that whenever he has the car on, even if its idling on his drive, he'll find the Supersprint 4-2-1 manifold glowing red hot. He wanted to know if this is right, or if they've sent him a manifold thats meant to be for something that runs a little cooler. Any help would be hugely appreciated!
-
So other than the matrix and your heater box, what did you have to replace? I'm going to replace my heater motor while I'm there as mine is making some awful noises!
-
Mine's gone too, I share your pain! I'm gonna do mine this weekend, but I really don't wanna touch the car in case I mess something up. Everything I touch turns into a disaster!
-
Aaaah, I knew you were on about changing them, and I thought they were your new ones. They don't look too bad actually, a damn sight easier to clean than G60 ones!
-
Y'know, I never noticed the rear windows were tinted until just now! That's on the list of things to pull off! :D
-
coullstar, I'm afraid not! There must be an imposter somewhere! :) 16v, what happened to your G60 rims? Are they for sale? ;) Bally, when Dav gets his arse in gear, he'll be sorting out some 7x16" Stroseks for me. In standard form they look a bit cack, but they should look loads better with a bit of TLC :) You know the score, anthracite centres, mirror polished dish! :D When I tell Dav to get his arse in gear, I'm only joking mind!
-
I thought all the 4 cylinders shared the same suspension setup?
-
coullstar, eh? :? You've lost me. triggermyson, I was thinking that too! I'll submit a pic to it once I pull my splitter off :)
-
I've finally got my replacement camera, 3 months after it broke! I'm proud to present, some semi-decent photos! :) The first picture is of it when I first got it. Apologies for the poor quality, it was done on my 6230i. The wheels are Mini One alloys. The tyres were totally the wrong size and the centre bore was totally wrong. I found that they were forced onto the hubs with long bolts and spacers...they had to come off straight away! The next set of pictures were taken yesterday morning. It has 15" TSW Hockenheims on it which I got off a mate for £50 with good, correct sized tyres. They'll do for the moment, but I have new wheels going to the polishers next week :) The final set of pictures were taken just now. It's a bit dirty as I used it last night. You'll notice that it's sitting lower, I'm bedding in a set of FK Silverline coilovers. When the new wheels are ready to go on, I'll assess the drop again. At the moment it scrapes on speedhumps and refuses to go into my garage. I have a feeling the splitter will be pulled off in an hour or so :)
-
New car for the missus? Sounds like you got a good swap there! ;) I like Boras, I must admit. I might get a 1.8T Sport as my next car.
-
Mine's going to the garage in 10 minutes to get a whole load of stuff done :) By 1pm it should have: Discs and pads all round FK Silverline coilovers New wishbones New cambelt, aux belt and PAS belt If time, a 68mm pulley ...and I'm sure there's a lot more in the boot! Just had to go out and make sure it'd start as the battery is screwed. I've also had to de-ice it twice in 15 minutes! :s

No matter what tyres I've ever had, I've always had cars oversteer on me. I found it was down to my driving. I was going too fast or I wasn't driving to the conditions of the road. My Polo has budget tyres all round and I've only had one oversteer incident in it this winter. My Ibiza, shod with BF Goodriches, oversteered many more times!

There's a huge post on seatcupra.net about one guys problems with his. He took it up with Alpine UK and they just took the p*** out of him. He has a 60gb iPod so you can imagine how long it took to get to songs with that! I'll find the link! I just use the aux in for my iPod. On my Kenwood its a CD changer fooling cable and it sounds perfect. I had an iTrip before, which is probably as bad any manufacturers iPod interface...totally w***!
