Wow how much is that Bmw Batmobile going for.... When i went to le man's years ago we stopped off in a cafe, the owner came out and was all over the lotus twin cammed angia of my mates. After he ushered us to the barn / garage where he had two of those batmobile bmw's - one plain white and the other like this.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/86045416@N00/254664116/ Lovely looking in the flesh - mabie we should have tried swapping thhe anglia for one lol..

Hey all just a quick one. What do insurers actually use to decide on an agreed value? Point being: I recently had to put together a list for my insurer for all the work / restoration / mods on my car with parts and prices to get an agreed valuation, all prices are on parts only with no labour as im a mechanic and have carried out all the work myself which was stated on the paperwork. The agreed value they gave me is 5K less then the parts added up (with no labour or buying the vehicle included) and is also 3k less than i asked for. Is this what normally happens and should I query it or get an independant assessor to look at it. My concern is if they will accept what an independant accessor says or if they will still keep the figure the same. I was trying to get a value for he car that would more or less get me an identical spec car if stolen or totalled. I asked for a value under what I had paid anyway and they have knocked it down even more. Has this happened to anyone else?

Decided to strip down my new Schrick as it was all scratched and slightly corroded. Block sanded down the emblem to level it all and descale it off, got using a polishing wheel on it all, not too bad for an evenings work. Just caught it back together but recon with a bit more fettling it should look like new. All i need now is to source a replacement reservoir  - Bloody couriers ..

Suzuki Jimny is fairly cheap/ cheerfull and fun, and you could probbably sell it next year for still a reasonable amount.

Hi I used 2 pack etch primer and 2 pack satin black on all my axles / subframes with clear waxoil to finish it all off. We use the etch and black to allot of the off road builds we do and its a fairly chip free hard wearing finish. Paul

If you had the choice would you go schrick obd1 or 2?

lol ---------- Post added at 11:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:58 PM ---------- I hear you. I have the offer of buying both throttle mounts and if i didn't like the obd2 route i could always change lol One of those indesisive moments lol -

Just currious really, bought a schrick and have the option of getting it with obd1 or 2 throttle mount. My only other thoughts were If i went obd1 i could sell my obd2 setup complete and recoup some of the money -
As above with reasons why please. What would be best for my setup, giving the most torque or bhp Currently obd2 but i have no problem swapping back to obd1 Likes of obd2: Slightly smoother engine Slightly better mpg more responsive feel - although its running a lightened flywheel so who knows engine not trying to almost stall at junctions etc.. less cluttered engine bay Dislikes: Throttle doesn't shut off straight away so in traffic etc your on the brakes rather than just using clutch control Not the same raw funness of the obd1 Buzzing throttle body
