Nice to see another one saved. Plenty of us breaking cars so finding another good arch shouldn't be a problem.

Leave them out and see if the clocks work as they should. If the clocks don't work then get down to the fusebox and look for the other ends of these plugs. I'm sure they must be colour coded.

There is a pic in here that shows the early type A/C that was fitted to a G60. Just two push buttons in the dash. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=88817&start=15

No. The early switches are smaller than the later ones. The are not as wide. When used in a later dash they do not clip into place like the later ones. They just flap about in the dash.

Thank you again :)

And to finish off the late spec look you can change the indicator/wiper stalks for later ones. They are simply plug and play. If you do then you'll also need the later cars steering/ignition surround as the hazard lights switch is different.

As already said you can use your existing headlight loom for the later style switch. If you use later style HRW/FOG/ABS switches then you'll need the later looms as the early looms won't fit the switches. You can get away with the early heater (slide) controls instead of the later (knob) controls but you will need to make a plate up for the control panel. The hole in the later centre console is larger than the one in the early panel. I would keep the early slide controls as they seem more reliable than the later knob controls. The four dash air vents differ between early and late cars. The storage bin at the bottom of the centre console is deeper on the later one. Again as already said your early leccy window door looms won't fit the later switches. Same goes for the drivers side leccy window switch. Interior door handles have already been explained. And should you need any parts

Now you're on a roll you should try and sell your gold and mobile phone too.

Do your hazard lights work?

Think I'll shut up now :)

Course I will but from memory the sliders are just standard and the two buttons occupy a switch where the switch blank is found, under the fogs and HRW. I'm sure I've seen the same switch/setup in the Golf MK2 Haynes manual.

No. I have (as do others) an early RHD G60 with A/C fitted. Looking at the quality of the install (it's similar to the quality of VR6 ones I've seen) I'd say it was dealer fitted. It has two push buttons to control the A/C. Just don't ask me how it works :)

Aaahhhh, yes I could see them suit a silver car :)

I chaved me motor. Sold my Sebrings so fitted these lovely TSW 5 spokes as they have good tyres. 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfTSW.JPG[/attachment:2lbnzgub] Then found my exhaust centre box had come apart at the weld so had to fit this bad boy system. Zorst.JPG[/attachment:2lbnzgub]

Another fucking tax!!! Go tell the government to shove the £15 up their arse!

Both great cars in different ways. I love driving a standard 8V MK2 but you'll notice the difference (for the better) when you start driving a Corrado again. Anyway just go and buy a MK2, try it and if you're not keen then sell it on.

He'll ignore it.

Thank you :)

Isn't the engine in a L reg a 2.0 9A  Or have you done an engine swap?
-
No problem...again :)

I have an early (1990) 16V and the drivers window works 1 touch up/down on the drivers side.

And all for a brand new Passat CC. Are VW not shifting them? What's the depreciation on one of those? What's he going to get for it when he sells it? Why scrap a perfectly decent car? Man even a previous owner wanted it back! Makes my blood boil.

6 for me please.
