That stinks. May the same thing happen to those that did that to you. Still there might be an answer. Is this the same colour as yours? http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... 13&t=85515

I have one, but not from this seller, and it's fine. But then I like leather and it goes with the leather interior. If you are missing the original plastic cover then go for it. If the plastic cover is still there then stick with that. To fit it you will have to remove the handbrake grip bit first (where you press the handbrake button) and then slip it back on afterwards.

Thanks Fay :)

Wow Nick, that's a surprise! Hope the new owner keeps up your good work on the car. And thanks for the mention.(Please ensure you pass my details onto the new owner :D ). -
Top pair are just like the ones I've just sold. These are very dark indeed. If they are to go on the green car in your sig then I'd go for the lighter smoked ones.
-
Nope, you're just a closet Prince fan.
-
Black exhaust and unburnt fuel smell. Need a new Lambda? ECU in the cabin. You have a left hand drive car? Bonnet release on the drivers side? Do you have ABS? It could be the ABS ECU?
-
As andy says, it is indeed. And if you have heated seats you'll find the relays for that located behind the N/S rear door card.
-
£395? Criminal! But you live too far away from me :(
-
Yes if the rear hatch is not pressed flush against the boot rubber then you will get noise.
-
What you descibed sounds ok to me, maybe its me not being very good at explaining things. Best thing you can do mate tbh is get VAGCOM plugged into it. That will settle your mind. Or before that, get that light plugged in, if it turns on when you switch the engine on and it goes off again. Then that will be great! Shaun - cheers for that. I realised the dash light fascia was different between late and early. I didnt realise there were 3 different plugs![/quote:ci5caq5o] And the other difference between the AA & BA ABS switches is the AA has the 'rough feel' to the facia like the headlight/fog/hrw switches whilst the BA is smooth to the touch.
-
Indeed it will as you need an early one. Will be in the post tomorrow.
-
Yes. Early is as you see in the photo. Then there is early late which has a different plug. Plugs into an ABS light ending in AA I think. And then there is the late late one which again has a different plug. Plugs into an ABS light ending in BA I think.
-
Yep it's been removed. And I bet it will shine when you pop your new one in. Get VAGCOM plugged in if it does light up all the time. As for the wires
-
But then she could drive around in a nice white Fiat 500 all day long :)

Your H reg is an early car and the L reg is a late car. Looms will be different. Changeover year was '92. Headlight switch has it's own loom. ABS (if fitted) has its own loom. Fogs & HRW share the same loom. Clocks have their own loom. I think they are different between analouge and digital clocks. All can be replaced easily enough without having to take the dash out. Chances are it's just the headlight loom that's gone. Caused by your headlight switch and cheaps fuses not liking each other.

Jim, just get your good lady to become a driving instructor for BSM.

"And you can get £2000 for your old car if you trade it for a new one." Now does the dealer put his hand in his pocket and dish out £2000 of his own money? Oh the Government pays the £2000. That's ok then. But where did they get the £2000 from to give to the dealer/car maker? Need I ask? Now that's what pisses me off. I get screwed by the Tax Man only to find my tax money being used for some dumb ass scheme that I don't agree with. And would never have agreed with if I'd been asked. But I wasn't asked. It was decided for me. That really gets my back up. Another waste of money scheme. No wonder this country is in debt. And all for George and Mildred to buy a bloody i20 that will be worthless in 5 years time. And when my kids are 18 and want their first car? No classic cars with soul left kids, have an i20 instead!

:) I was thinking it was this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 3D1&_rdc=1
-
Aahhh the one from Ebay. That looked nice apart from the fire damage. Glad to see it's going to be saved and not broken for spares. Sorry I'm no help with the carbs.

My local "Scrap Metal Processor" now has a big pile of cars that are not accident write offs or rust buckets but scrappage scheme trade ins from the garages. They will all go in the shredder as is. Best ones I saw in the pile were a pair of nice looking Golfs, a MK2 GTi 5 door and a MK3 GTi 3 door.

If it's on an H plate then I bet that's the trick one that parks up on Salvington Hill.
