 No problem. I'm pleased that she has gone to somebody who will look after her.

Where Can I get a "Corrado" Rear Badge from?

Why not stick an ad in the WANTED section to see if somebody has one in the colour you're after? -
Thanks Sam :)

Its not any one that works here as im the only one who drives a white van so yea has to be someone that was coming in for something else. Can you check with your reception/security/post room what pickups or deliveries were made? Might be able to trace the firm that owns the van?

As already said, from the top down. I use a thin flat bladed screwdriver to push the top of the blob through the hole in the parcel shelf, starting at the edge of the blob and working around. The end with the eyelet in will pull through easy when soft.

I reckon he means the weights of the engine/gearbox and starter motor. I stick a jack and a soft piece of wood under where the engine/gearbox join. Not sure if it's the correct place but it works for me.

Paper gasket was less than £2 and metal one less than £3 to buy. Took the rad out to give me better access to the area. Cooler was easy enough to remove to find the old paper gasket solid and brittle. New gasket on and all back together. Not too difficult a job really.

The front mount is easy enough to do. I've done it a couple of times now and if I can do it without making a hash of it you should be ok :)

Mark, I have a standard middle box in good condition from a late G60 (bar hangers) that I broke. Let me know if you're interested. Regards, Shaun.

Is it me or does that centre cap look like it should be on a Borbet A?

My thanks to too hot for the badges that were well packaged for safe delivery.

Thanks :) And only available from the Stealers I guess?

Check the rear sunroof drain tube. It think the tube goes from the sunroof above the rear panel and down the C pillar. It might be blocked or leaking

Between cooler and block I believe. Underside of the car now has some fine rust protection and I think that's where it's coming from. yeah, it's a fibre/paper type gasket and you should be able to get onto the allen bolts, but as toad said you'll also need to remove the filter and cooler first to get at the bracket bolts. Thanks David. Luckily I've got the G60 block in the car I'm breaking to practice on before I go charging into the real thing.

Thanks. I'll give it a go.

I want to remove mine to replace the gasket. Now I can see 3 allen head bolts that hold it to the block. I can get to the top one if I remove the sender but how do I remove the lower 2 bolts? The whole cooler seems to be in the way? I've looked in the Haynes Golf 16V book and it shows a nice pic of the parts that make up the cooler but no text on how to remove it?

Youve taken that too far.......... I've run my cars on a mix of tyres in the past. Only thing you need to be wary of is that there can be a discrepancy between the sizes of the tyres between manufacturers. I.e. not every 195/50 r15 tyre will actually be the same width. I never knew that!

Youve taken that too far.......... It works :) But then my daily is 20 years old, never goes over 70 and I drive it for MPG not MPH. If it was my weekend car then I'd invest in some better rubber.
-
My 16V daily has 4 different makes of tyre but all the same size. I've had no issues at all.

My thanks to vr6-phil. The badge is lovely and was packaged soooo well for fast, safe delivery. A first class job there.

That looks lovely. But you really do need to replace those indicators

No problem :)
