I think you need: 1) The loom from the clocks to the fusebox. Different between digi and anal. 2) The bit that goes into the gearbox. Long black plastic thing. 3) The part of the loom in the engine bay that plugs into the long black plastic thing that sticks out of the gearbox. And that's it. I think :)

I don't believe there is a difference between the early or late front seat subframes. They all look the same to me. And they both connect to the car in the same way. I don't think that changed through the production run of the car.
-
I bought a G60 and that did have Porsche seats fitted before I got my hands on it. Don't know what type they were but the home made subframes are still in the car. Any use?

Push the seat base back a bit and then pull it up towards you. The hook bit is in the middle of the seat base at the front of it.

Sad thing is to the average man on the street the R32 just looks like any other Golf. But the Corrado looks like, well a Corrado! Or a Scirocco to some people
-
No idea. I'll guess at some type of Borbet.

Will the toothed belt kit fit a G60 with A/C fitted?

No not that stealth. This one's been painted in the stuff used on the bombers. Makes it invisible to radar :) Bought this Matt Black beauty off Fleabay from a chap down in Seaford. A '92 2.0 16V. Poor man was a Ford fan who bought it on a whim. My he couldn't wait to get shot of it :) Came with Tax & MOT and numerous problems. They were/are all fixable. Headlights on main beam all the time = new headlight switch. You get the idea. It was dumped, exhaust would scrape the ground, handled like a limpet, so stiff I lost a tooth filling. Early dash but late doors with the correct looms, late (well early) VR6 interior and a sunroof that works  I didn't have the heart to break it as I warmed to it on the drive home. Must have been the fact the fan only works on 4 and I'm always nervous that the things going to overheat before I get it back home so the heater was on all the way. Encouraged by the admiring glances from my neighbours I set about improving it. On with some new engine mounts before the exhaust snapped off at the downpipe. Off went the standard exhaust before a speed hump removed it. On with a Milltek cat back. Orange lights painted black, smoked instead of red rears, smoked indicators, the cheapest, nastiest leather interior I could find (yep it's bad), a rough set of Estorils and all the late switches replaced by early ones. To do - smoke the fogs and fix the remaining little niggles. But why spend money on it? I really did warm to it. The fact that somebody had decided to spray it matt black for fun!? I drive to the station, park on the street and don't care if somebody scratches it. I just get the rattle can out and spray it again :D It's got rust and dents, smells like an ashtray and puts a smile on my face when I drive it. It was too far gone to restore and there are enough beauties out there anyway. Now people who have seen it tell me it has some history, mainly from ED38? Car used to be a track tool? and was black and orange(?). Came covered in orange G-Werks stickers, surely not the best advert for Darren! Suppose I should go and ask him one day as I'd love to know it's history as it came with none :) So if anyone knows anything about it please let me know. climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfStealth Front.JPG[/attachment:2d5i0i8g] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfStealth Side.JPG[/attachment:2d5i0i8g] Stealth Rear.JPG[/attachment:2d5i0i8g]

Yeah that's nice.

Yes. And a black one will look the DB's on your car :)

That is soooo nice. Great work there :salute: (But I too prefer the Keskin wheels) :)

ABS pump is the black cylinder and the metal part next to it that it connects to? The distribution bit of the pump is the bit where the tubes connect? I believe all 4 cylinder cars use the same ABS pump whilst the VR6 had a different one. 6 tubes going into it instead of the 4 tubes on yours. The big black cylinder is the oil filter. Sometimes it's orange in colour. Depends who makes it. I guess the big metal bit it connects to is the oil cooler/filter mount.

No problem... :)

And thank you for a very efficient service when selling a part.

Thanks. And I must say money well spent! :) When I get round to removing it and fitting it in my G60 I'll give ACE a shout.

Thanks Yan. I thought as much. I've just got hold of a RHD G60 with working aircon in it and looking under the passenger side dash it looks a total lash up, very similar to the VR6 ones I've seen. Trouble is I have no info on it at all and who made it. I can only guess it's the same as the ones that went in MK2 Golfs. Thanks Jonathan. I did a search and found an old thread about yours. But it had no info on who made it. Can you remember? I guess there will be something on the bits when I rip them out but I was just interested for now.
-
Now I know the LHD US spec G60's you find in this country had a/c fitted but did the UK spec RHD car come with it from the factory or was it a dealer fit option? Was it shared with the MK2 Golf? Or was it Diavia just like the ones on a VR6? Any info appreciated.

Anyone Know How to Sell a Number Plate????
shaung60 replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
He's right. They give you a big valuation just to get you on their books. I had COL19V valued at over £1500. Great if you were Colin who drove a 16V Renault 19. But nobody called Colin who drove a Renault 19 wanted it. So it went when the car was scrapped. -
MOT booking and driving the car - is there a limit?
shaung60 replied to coullstar's topic in General Car Chat
Do you not need the mot certificate number though? If your car is insured and you have booked a test at the MOT station you can drive it there. Even if it is presently SORN. You are not going to get it taxed without an MOT. -
Yeah yeah, we all know what a Reliant Robin is made from but what did he use to convert it into a landspeeder? Boom, Boom! :D
-
I like the bottom ones. Do they come in a darker colour?

It's for the vacuum tube connection. I don't think VR6 clocks had them. P7050316.JPG[/attachment:nlp3b9o9]

The whole clock won't come out in one go. Just pull the right hand side (as you look at it) out first then you can get to the cables at the rear. It'll come out just enough to give you access to them.
