  1. Congrats on your purchase :)
  2. Rocco looks lovely, good luck with the Corrado, they look great in silver :)
  3. Well the car is all good and clean again after last weekend and this eve I enjoyed a pleasant little drive out on my own. Took my camera along to try to get some decent pics, (with the CCGB calendar in mind) though the light wasn't great. Also wondering which show/meet I should get along to next. Getting to know the car now and enjoying it, it has some of the same characteristics of my old car and a few different ones. The engine in this one one feels much more punchy which is nice :) but the gearbox maybe not so smooth, might try some different oil in there. thanks for reading apologies for so many pics !
  4. If the noise reduces as the engine warms up then my guess would be piston slap, they all seem to do it to a lesser or greater degree in my experience. Was your engine re-bored when it was overhauled ? It's probably the only way to get rid of the noise all together. My old cars engine was re-bored with new pistons and it was relatively very quiet afterwards. Cost a bit though..:(
  5. Welcome along :) got any pics ?

The roof strips could soon be available :) - http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=88699
  7. The manual gearbox isn't an option any more on the F80/82, they are all 'DCT' or whatever it's called now, if I were in a position to buy one I would really value a 3 yr warranty. What would you do after that !! Sean_Jaymo, I agree about the colour though it looks better in the metal, I think the blue you mention is Yas Marina Blue, really nice colour imo What struck me most about both cars was the interior quality & feel, stunning :)
  8. I work alone too, It is a bit quiet and the christmas party is not much fun ! At least my tools don't go missing and my tea mugs don't get broken :)
  9. The Audi's not bad I suppose but I prefer Bmw's styling :)
  10. Had quite a nice morning at my local Bmw dealer with my lad, My old e46 touring was booked in for the passenger airbag recall and after the complimentary coffee and biscuits we had a look around the showroom and then into the seperate 'M' section 8) Both absolutely stunning cars, the salesman was very accomodating and let us have sit in the cars. A nice morning and free ! Which one ? at nearly 60k for the M4 and over 100k for the i8 its not a decision I need to think about unfortunately.
  11. Looks nice and clean under there James 8)
  12. I recently replaced 2 speakers as they simply stopped working or at best were intermittent, don't think the original speakers are very good!
  13. Nice job,got mine to do later in the year 8)
  14. Hey Rams ! not seen it on the forum at all.Are you missing it ? 8)
  15. Time for a picture update Chris, sounds fantastic 8)
  16. Yes, nice to see you Chris . Had a few heavy showers going home but not too bad, will be great to be entered in the concourse next year , got a bit to do to get it to the standard of yours, lovely car.8)
  17. Stanford Hall time again ! This time in the new car, and I took the 2.5 hr drive there early this morning with my son 'Ollie' . Third visit to this show for me but initially wasn't blessed with the good weather which I have experienced there in the past. Torrential rain all the way there which did ease as forecast, as we arrived around 10.30, and from then on not too bad with some sun. So driving through all that weather and then through the muddy grass of Stanford left the car in a right mess leaving me thinking what was the point of spending the last few weeks getting the car super clean :( But after a bit of a washdown with a few buckets of water the C looked quite presentable and then I was able to enjoy the show, definitely my favorite :) So all in all my first show in the new car was really good and it drove wonderfully there and back.Just needs a damn good clean.... again !
  18. You certainly won the race ! I was fairly late at 10.45, black Vr N256, on left in above picture
  19. Worn drive shaft inner joints are a possibility Chris, make sure the securing bolts are tight too, soon... :)
  20. Not sure Wayne, think I said goodbye to you, left about 3.30 ? Completely forgot about the headlamp switch fuse which I had with me, if you still need it p.m me your address & I will send it over :) A nice show as always, despite the very soggy start. Good to catch up with a few folks and meet a couple of new members.Approved of the new CCGB gazeebo, :thumbleft: Well done to ChrisL in the concours too 8) Just a few pics
  21. Think that was me on the M25 (black btw)! Followed you until you left the M1. I was on my way up to Stanford Hall 8)
