-
so, lots of boasting on how low you have gone......but the question was how low before you cant get on the rollers! Thanks to those that have stayed on subject.

Just had a look on the Karmann website to see if I could find any info on that badge, no luck i'm affraid, but I did find this pic of the first corrodos coming of the production line...... -
I'll be attending the rolling road day this sunday. Whats the minimum height you need betwwen spoiler and road to fit on Stealths rolling road??? Currently I have 85mm

check which gas the passat uses to, if it uses the old stuff (cant remember the code) you'll most lightly have to covert it to r134a which can be costly in its self, new compressor, filters etc. The old gas is getting very difficult to get hold of and has been outlawed due to enviromental reasons. As far as fitting it in the corrado, yes the passat dash does look similar but I wouldnt mind guessing that all the airbox and ducts is different on the corrado, would also bet on the piping not being a straight drop in afair. Good luck!

Good work Spencer, do you have any pictures of the C going up the strip??

wow wow wow!!! Kev, I did say I didnt want to start a fight!!! I just thought that your explaination didnt provide enough proof with the circumstances that you put forward, the length of time etc etc between rolling road days at AMD and Stealth. Davidwort's explaination has more weight and supports yours to a certain extent. Dodgy old subject the rolling roads. Just think that that kind of allegation needs to be handled with care on a forum like this, otherwise the the forum can suffer. Thats all. Didnt mean to upset anyone.....i'll go back to being quiet! Cheers Andy

I can see your point Kev from your difference between 2 companies rollers. But I cant see how they can tweak the rollers on the same day with the same car and just a chips difference. Unless they have a tweaking knob round the back......but thats not going to happen at AMD is it. These guys have a reputation to behold. I think you should retract you aligation of creative calculations, your proof does not add up in that instance. I'm not trying to kick up a fight, and i have no connection or have had any work done at AMD as yet.

Popped into Breeze at Tower Park Poole on monday to order some bits and bobs, they gave me 10% discount on showing the Corrado Club membership card. Saved me over £30, thats paided for two years membership in one go!! The parts guy that served me used to work at Woods BMW, he's very helpful for a someone that works on parts. My long lists of parts seem to really p1ss off most parts desks! Anyway he is looking to buy a Corrado at the moment.......so maybe able to sweet talk him into more discount soon!

picked the oil cooler up at stonor for £20, bargain as they retail at £65. The sandwich plate and pipes were £95 from thinkauto.com including vat and postage. Will have to get the bumper off and see if they are long enough I think.

Hi All, Just recieved my oil cooler installation kit for my VR, now the length of the supplied pipes look a little small to me, 700 and 500mm long. Can anyone put my mind at rest that they are long enough??
-
I have seen a few VR's with a chunky 5 spoke, I think they are called brands hatch. They are listed on etka and look like this.

If its leather and grey, John (aka 16VG60) was selling a pair of new door cards at Stonor at the weekend. He may still have them.

Its a bitch of a job Alex, give yourself at least 2 hours per side...and expect you knuckles to bleed!!!! First drop the axel, support well. Drill out as much of the rubber as poss, to remove central bush. Chisel out outer metal ring. Press in new bush. Sounds easy, but I would never do them again, well worth paying a man to do the job.

Can't wait to see it Lee, the work you have shown in your pics looks a top notch job so far. Bet your like Charlie in the choc factory when you go to the paint shop!!
