Check your lamda probe as well, had the same thing and it turned out to be a faulty lamda probe

I'd put 10mm spacers on either side, this should solve your problem.

What's the ET/off set of your rims ? That would help with what spacers you require. I've got a set of 17"x8" ET 32 and never had any problem with rubbing.
