Has it been driven like that? Oil floats on water so if its not been driven the water should drain first?

I think they are the forgotten VW, it's only when people actually see them in the flesh they're reminded of them. Then its surprising how well people know them and ask if the spoiler / sunroof still work as they should. Then it's, "If you ever want to sell it my mate's / lad a VW fan" etc etc

Check the pins haven’t pushed out of the Rayne loom sockets, they did on mine causing a similar scenario.

The strut locations are the same, the problem is the bar clashes with the master cylinder reservoir on RHD cars. There are a few here from your country and Europe too, so if you decide to ship overseas and you have a few rarities in your collection you may sell out fast.

Well this is a mostly UK based forum, will your strut brace fit RHD cars? Your location doesn't appear on mobile app either and you didn't state it in your non advert!!!!

Two thoughts, do you have a total closure type alarm fitted? Inspect the window relay inside the rear quarter panel on the drivers side for shorting or water ingress. -
