  1. True and the Corrado is now 15 years old or more! I think the Corrado does have its rusty spots as well. Front arches, rear number plate light and fuel filler area all spring to mind. Worth checking under the rear seats as well! Also quite flat fronted and low so partial to stone chips. So be surprised if their are many mint C's out there anymore with totally original paintwork. I would concentrate on finding a car that has had a no expense spared service history than one that has a blemish free body. Good luck with the search, hope you find a nice one Matt
  2. That IS good! What didnt you like about it???
  3. Yeah thats the one. Always could have been made into a sportier VW I am sure! Would have been spot on with a nice big V6 8)
  4. Is it just me or does anyone not think that the Karmann C Class design looks like it could very probably have been for the Mk2 Corrado? Just looks very Corrado like and the spoiler looks like it should go up and down. Just missing some slightly fatter arches.
  5. Personaly I would just go std, or if that is not an option then drilled only Matt
  6. I have had the clicking. You havent fitted some new wheels or bolts per chance? I had two bolts that were slightly longer than the others and these were clipping the ABS sensor. Maybe this has broken the sensor and has something to do with your brake juddering problem also. :confused4: Not sure about the dash bit.. Always worth checking underneath your door cards though to make sure they are sealed nice and tight. Matt
  7. Would have been my first choice money no object 8)
  8. /\ /\ /\ Exactly I would want plenty of receipts for known Corrado 'problem areas' as well as the VW service history stamps
  9. Blimey, didnt see that coming. Good luck with the track though!
  10. Any links to any? I would like to do this also. Matt
  11. Awesome cheers for the info. Looking at doing a bit of tidying/preventative maintenance over the winter.
  12. The best advice I can give you is pay a decent auto leccy to come have a look at it. I spent 2 years trying to sort mine, replacing allsorts and dismantling everything LOL Auto leccy had it sorted in 2 hours for £100 and it was a broken wire behind the dash which i would never have found! For the basic checks search my posts for central locking, be PLENTY of info in there   Matt
  13. its like a lacquer but has brilliant resistance against salt/oil etc etc, when i worked in a Automotive/Aerospace manufacturer, about 90% of all metals used had some form of passivate coating on them to protect them from the elements. That sounds interesting. Is it easily attainable?
  14. Looking good. But what the hell is clear passivated :confused4: LOL

Yoko's and Toyos are better than your usual rubbish. But you cannot beat a nice Bridgestone, Goodyear or personal fave Michelin Pilot Sport. Trouble is you have to pay proper money for them!
  16. With maintenance costs being so high. I think prices often depend on what has already been done to the car. If you buy a nice £2k car which has a few bodywork issues and needs the chains/clutch doing then it is a £3.5k car at the end of the day isnt it :confused4: But to some people those issues won't mean that much and they will happily run it as it is. Matt
  17. Yeah new wing (read 2nd hand) is the way to go if you want a long lasting repair to the problem.
  18. LOL dont worry I wont hold it against you :D Still may be worth a look.
  19. Nice one Zak. So that is really going to increase my ride height by 3cm on the Koni's? Not good :(
  20. Brilliant that is really good news. I will have a look at doing it myself or failing that have to get someone to do it for me. Thanks for info Matt
