Can anyone tell me if the handbrake pull on the Corrado is top or bottom pull? Do these calipers look the same as everyone else is fitting? Am told they are from a Passat but they look the same as the Mk4 Golf ones to me! 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf!B(VFToQB2k~$(KGrHgoOKjIEjlLmYd13BKbwNj4LHg~~_12.jpg[/attachment:2gwz1mwr] !B(YqwhgBWk~$(KGrHgoOKjkEjlLm(yt(BKcBDvVRRg~~_12.jpg[/attachment:2gwz1mwr] Thanks Matt

Gettin on a little now, but I like the Snooper Indago with Euro maps
-
Phew nice one Ian I thought you were going to say it was still broken! Bet you are well chuffed now. They cost a bit to keep going, but what else gives you the noise and sense of occasion for the money 8) Look fwd to checking out your overhauled motor at Sealth Matt

I think you will find thats an optional extra on Italian cars. Its called Battona mode, saves you winding the window down after you have flashed a particularly juicy looking Italian lady, so you can bellow suggestive remarks at her...
-
LOL bet you pull some quality MILF with that though!
-
That is a nice list of nice cars mate! Would love to have sampled all of those myself. Have to say though you obviously arent short of a few bob, so why not get yourself a nicely sorted Euro Corrado VR6 and have it imported. I imagine the only thing that would make the Corrado experience any better would be to drive it somewhere nice and sunny! How are you finding the US, quite fancy a move there myself sometime. Where abouts are you? Matt

yes 996 c4s is my new toy had it about 5 months and put about 3K on it over the summer it won't be used much over the winter , but i think the point that i was trying to make is the porsche cost 30 x as much as i sold the corrado for but the smile on my face isn't 30 x as wide , don't get me wrong the porsche is a monster of a dream car but the corrado is not that far away Rob Well that is good that you still have it. That is what worries me about getting my 'dream car' that the reality won't live up to the dream.. Must admit you probably have my ideal car though within a semi-sensible price bracket. How is it treating you any nasty bills or unexpected surprises? I am starting to lean towards a newer car now. Though will probably play it sensible with a chipped Golf ED30 or similar. Matt

I would check the actuator in the door first ie the little pump that pushes the door pin up and also check the wiring in the drivers door jam. Matt

Have you still got the 996 Rob?
-
My ma just got insured on a Mk4 1.8T Gti 5 door for 290 squid. Breakdown cover included, on drive, ZERO no claims :confused4:
-
Nope better all round
-
Unlimited budget to mod a corrado what would you do?
Leonard replied to Swompy's topic in General Car Chat
I will have one of those please Kev! Any links to the Holland engineer's car...... -
LOL Don't be shy

If the RS4 was sold now it would be nearer £55k due to the flucations in the Euro. £28k for that spec (especially when a fully specced S3 with 5bhp less is £38k) isn't too bad. Yeah but just because the £ is now worth bugger all against the Euro, that still doesnt make £28k a bargain for a 2.0 4 cylinder hot hatch with a remap and some fancy wheels
-
I thought of you saying this when I spoke to my customer today who has spent £30k just on a normal mk6 GTI. 8) Don't think we'll have too much bother shifting the R. Enquiries have started coming in. :D LOL tell him to come and have a word with me in 3 years time. Will be waiting with 12.5k in my backburner  Hmmm new Golf Gti or http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1260281.htm
-
That's exactly what it's all about, correcting things that VW didn't quite get right, stuff that hasn't aged too well, or parts that were omitted due to cost :salute:
-
Probably trying to give the Golf a performance advantage maybe :confused4: Wouldnt be at all surprised though if the Rocco is actually a fair bit faster in the dry
-
As mentioned above I would struggle to hand over almost £30k for one. Especially as you can pick up a nice 2nd hand Gti for 12k and then spend less than £1500 on a Miltek exhaust with sport cat and a Revo 2 map for the same performance. Or even better an already good looking ED30 where £2k will get you 320bhp 8) They do look really nice tho for a new car package with warranty. Rather have either of them over an Audi S3
