I though that for the best ride and price it was Koni TA with H&R springs. I've read through the whole suspension thread and I am still confused with which setup is the best :? I know if I had the money I would buy KW Variant 3's :D Yes H&R's do offer a softer ride than the Eibach springs. Above was just for reference really. Matt :)

Koni dampers Eibach springs. You would have to find some 2nd hand kit though. I think common consensus now is that KW Variant 1's for £550 is the only way to go for a half decent ride. Matt

Good luck mate, a very worthy project! Keep us updated won't you :salute: Matt

Hi mate Thanks, no problem if you cant make it. ust thought I would post on the off chance someone was already close by. Will go up at weekend otherwise if still for sale. Really just wanted to know if general condition is as good as advert makes out. ie Excellent body work, interior, 4 quality good depth tyres all same brand, decent discs etc etc Basically no obvious signs of abuse or major accident damage. Many Thanks Matt -
I dont even have the bench
-
Someone really needs to work out how to do this conversion and cheaply! Wish i had the engineering skills, but unfortunately I do not :(

Just wondered if anyone was in Huddersfield to look at this: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... egLetter=Y Don't want to put anyone out, but car seems pretty good for the money so was just wondering if there were any catches. A quick once over by someone would be great before I do a 120 mile round trip :notworthy: Matt

Looks like you are fighting hard there mate. Must admit if it was me I would be replacing the panels I think. You can get cheapish ones circa £40 a piece. I would have thought that the rear 3/4 will need welding though and quite a tricky area. Keep up the good work though, you are saving another c from the scrapper and she does look like she has potential! 8)

Love it! Looks really good. If I was nit picking I would say you missed a trick not doing the Corrado badge same colour as the wheel centres 8)

Mine has it and I have leather. Doubt it makes any difference but I have the Recaros as well. Matt

And the rest! :gag:

You are a star! Thanking you very kindly :notworthy:

Mine isn't  LOL fair enough

I really don't understand why people seem to think the 1.8 and 2.0 Turbo VW engines are boring. Not saying they arent effective. They are just boring in sound and in power delivery. I dont want a car that can do 120mph whilst feeling like it is only doing 70mph  As you say though horses for courses.
-
Thats a really nice looking Elise but Micra! Why arent you rolling phat in a Corrado during the week!!!
-
Yeah I was looking at them 8 years ago along with the E30 M3. Struggled to find a nice one of either for my £10k budget though and in the end after a year of looking I saw and bought my VR :D As nice as the Corrado is you still cannot beat a nice lightish RWD car.

 nah, i think i would look a right nob in a porka, i personally think i would be happy getting back in it :| Yeah me to! Quite fancy a 968 Club Sport still though.....
-
If only, we will get back in our Rado's and they will feel shit LOL

Exactly. If you take depreciation into account a 993 really isnt a bad proposition at all!
