  1. I was literally about to call them as well, let you know if I fair any better.....
  2. LOL Yeah i must admit it makes me feel like a real mechanic/man sometimes  Always telling my girlfriend how I have just saved £400 fixing the car. When it has actually taken me 10 working hours and £150 in parts
  3. JEALOUS!!!! :mad2:  Any pics.... :norty:
  4. Cheers mate that is so VERY true! He is just here now so as you say fingers crossed, do a lot of finger crossing when you own a Corrado dont you
  5. P.S That jig is safe yeah
  6. Nice write up buddy. I really want to get the underside of mine tidied up. So if you start a small business going, keep me posted :salute: Keep up the good work Matt 8)
  7. The balder they get the better they get
  8. Used to have the R888's on the Evo for track days, so yes I know how obscene they are  Not the best in the wet though and i would be worried that my car couldnt handle that much conering force without falling to bits  And you had to mention the bleedin gearing didnt you. Now I want the 6 speed box again...... LOL
  9. Looks bloody good to me! I amost bought a green Storm when I was looking for a VR many moons ago, so always got a bit of a soft spot for them 8) £2k is just ridiculous! I have probably spent that in the past 2 months LOL. Perhaps i should just get a new Corrado each year use it for 12 months then break it, thus making each subsequent Corrado more valuable by itsincreased rareness  Keep up the good work mate anyway, as everyone has said looks like a really good base for a stunning car. Matt
  10. I'm not sure on the steering wheel but Im nit picking  Looks real good. Maybe get some metal number plates just to ice the cake. Matt
  11. D-Day today. After finding a couple of broken wires in my door jam after searching for months for my central locking problem and now electric window problem. I have finally decided to call in the professionals (cue theme tune). If I have 100% working windows and central locking by the end of today i am going to be the happiest I have been with my car for a long time  Then just got car tax, MOT, insurance, service and trip to Stealth to have my cams and VSR fitted to pay for this month :pale:
  12. I think we have all been there! I almost chucked my toy's out the pram at the weekend LOL Keep at it though, one little bit at a time......
  13. LOL Awesome makes me wanna get back in the Evo
  14. The Corrado isnt exactly your std fwd car. Have you seen the size of the engine bay? Think you may struggle getting a VR in a Elise, I would like to see it though!
  15. what do you guys think would be a nice wheel. i need at least 400mm across the inside to clear my brakes Well there is no doubt that it would look stunning on some BBS RS (gold centres?) Be nice to have something properly different and original though, how about these :norty:
  16. With the right wheels this is going to look sick! 8)
  17. They are a few quid from the VW dealers :)
  18. Never had the 'pleasure' to have met the Toad, but that still doesnt stop me having fear and admiration for him in equal measure  A tale to bring a tear to your eye on a Monday morning
  19. Ooo learn something every day!
  20. I think I know what you mean. But looking at mine I dont think one of my wires pass through the brackets  So I am still a little unsure as to wether I am understanding you correctly. I will take a pic later and post it if you dont mind having a look? Matt
  21. I was only in it for 2 minutes LOL I refer you to the post above
  22. Wel I am officially a plonker  After ripping my car to bits I looked again at the door jam with a big fat torch this time and in the daylight this time  what did I find two wires completely cut through and two more chaffed to pieces  So hopefully this is my electric window and central locking problem all rolled into one wirey mess. Gonna call an auto leccy tomorrow and get them to come and fix it. Oh and Kip I dont think ANY of my wires are where they are supposed to be under the dash  So will get him to tidy those up as well  Cheers for your help. Glad I hadnt ripped the rear seats out yet LOL Matt
